The Loveland Frogman is a legendary Ohio cryptid described as a 4-foot-tall bipedal amphibian. First reported in 1955 by a driver who saw three of them, the legend expanded after two police officers reported sightings in 1972. One officer later claimed he had simply shot a large, tailless iguana. Today, the city of Loveland embraces the cryptid as its mascot, celebrating the folklore with movies, a musical, and an annual festival.
