Harvey Brownstone Interviewed by Craig Bennett, Host of "Celebrity Drop"

Welcome to a very special edition of our show, which will be all about some very exciting things happening in my life. I’ve written a memoir called “Without Prejudice: My Life as a Gay Judge”, which chronicles my turbulent, tempestuous and sometimes hilarious journey from being severely bullied as a child, to being rejected by my parents after coming out to them when I was 19, to becoming a social outcast as an openly gay member of the legal profession, and then miraculously getting myself appointed Canada’s first openly gay judge, culminating in my reinvention following retirement, as a celebrity interviewer. And what’s even more exciting, is that the book has been made into a Hollywood feature film called “Without Prejudice”, directed by the brilliant Shane Stanley and starring David Arquette, David Mazouz, Rachelle Lefevre, Joe Lando, Rob Mayes, and Ernest Harden Jr. The movie will be premiering in the Fall of 2026 and in due course, you’ll be able to see it on a major streaming platform. A few weeks ago, I received an intriguing request from my dear friend and colleague, Craig Bennett from Australia, who is the host of a terrific and very popular interview program on YouTube called “Celebrity Drop”. He very kindly suggested that he come on our show and turn the tables on me, to interview me about the book and movie. I jumped at the chance, because I can’t imagine a more fun way to let you all know about everything that’s happening. Harvey Brownstone conducts an in-depth Interview with Barbara Moresco, Wife of Filmmaker, Bobby Moresco & Author, “From Hell’s Kitchen to the City of Angels: Devils and Angels” About Harvey's guest: Today’s special guest, Barbara Moresco, may not be famous, but she’s lived a life that could easily be the subject of a Hollywood movie, which makes a lot of sense, because she’s the wife of Academy Award winning filmmaker Bobby Moresco, who appeared on our show a few years ago. He’s best known for the blockbuster movies “Crash”, “Million Dollar Baby”, “Lamborghini”, and soon to be released, “Maserati: The Brothers”. She’s written a memoir entitled, “From Hell’s Kitchen to the City of Angels: Devils and Angels”, which chronicles her turbulent life growing up in the infamous neighbourhood of Manhattan from 38th Street to 56th Street between 9th and 12th Avenues, known as Hell’s Kitchen, also called the Westside. She grew up during the era of the notorious "Westies" mob, and through her book, we get to know a colourful and dramatic cast of characters from her family, Bobby’s family and a wide circle of friends, acquaintances and neighbourhood personalities who made life a continuous roller coaster. This is an entertaining and sometimes shocking book that takes us from the gritty streets of Manhattan to the Hollywood red carpet.
