Welcome to a very special edition of our show, which will be all about some very exciting things happening in my life. I’ve written a memoir called “Without Prejudice: My Life as a Gay Judge”, which chronicles my turbulent, tempestuous and sometimes hilarious journey from being severely bullied as a child, to being rejected by my parents after coming out to them when I was 19, to becoming a social outcast as an openly gay member of the legal profession, and then miraculously getting myself appointed Canada’s first openly gay judge, culminating in my reinvention following retirement, as a celebrity interviewer. Harvey Brownstone conducts an in-depth Interview with Paul Michael Glaser, Renowned Actor, Co-Star, “Starsky and Hutch” About Harvey's guest: Today’s guest, Paul Michael Glaser, is a renowned actor, director, writer, producer, artist and humanitarian who is perhaps best known for his portrayal of “Detective Dave Starsky” on the iconic TV series, “Starsky and Hutch”, for which he won numerous awards including a Photoplay Award, a Bravo Otto Award and a TV Land Award. He’s also appeared in many other iconic TV shows including “Love is a many Splendored Thing”, “The Waltons”, “The Rockford Files”, “The Mentalist”, “Grace and Frankie”, “Ray Donovan” and many more. He also starred in wonderful TV movies and miniseries including “Princess Daisy”, “Trapped Beneath the Sea”, “The Great Houdini”, “Jealousy”, “Attack on Fear”, “And Never Let Her Go”, “Ladies Night” and many more. On the big screen, he appeared in great movies like “Fiddler on the Roof”, “Butterflies are Free”, “Something’s Gotta Give”, “Phobia” and “Kazaam”, which he also wrote, produced and directed. He also directed “The Running Man”, “The Cutting Edge” and “The Air Up There”. And he’s directed many episodes of classic TV shows like “Starsky & Hutch”, “The Agency”, “Judging Amy”, “Third Watch”, “Las Vegas”, “Criminal Minds” and “Miami Vice”, for which he was nominated for an Emmy Award and a Director’s Guild of America Award. On Broadway, he was in “The Man in the Glass Booth” and “Butterflies are Free”, and he’s been in dozens of theatrical productions including “Luther”, “Peter Pan”, “Aladdin”, “Twelve Angry Men”, “The Lady’s Not for Burning”, “Henry IV”, “Richard III” and many more. Our guest has also written a novel entitled, “Chrystallia and the Source of Light”, which is a beautiful story of courage, forgiveness, self-discovery, and ultimately finding love, light and fulfilment. In recent years he’s also become a highly respected artist. And most importantly, he has spent many decades honoring the memory of his beloved wife Elizabeth, and daughter Ariel, through his monumentally important work with the Elizabeth Glaser Pediatric AIDS Foundation, for which he has received a whole slew of prestigious honours and Lifetime Achievement Awards for his extraordinary humanitarianism.
