Grownup Kids

Jess Bohon, Seth Rickard

Two siblings that are best friends, living life as childlike as adults can be. Seth and Jessie, 5 years apart, talk about the things they love, the things they don't, and their unique stories from growing up in church, facing their individual struggles, marriage and parenthood, traveling, many many jobs, filmmaking, and so much more. It boils down to this...a wholesome show that will make you laugh, cry (maybe??), feel understood and bring some hope and authenticity to some things that are rarely talked about for the young people of today.

Kid stories, Marvel debrief, and a very random tangent
This is such a catch-all episode. Of course, Song of the Week. We chat some funny stories from Seth's son, Jude. Then we hop over to a long Marvel chat, the shows and movies, as Seth is currently on a run of all things Marvel to catch up before Doomsday comes out, and then we end on a very random tangent of we don't even know what :) typical grownup kidsNew episodes out on Sunday mornings!Song of the Week Playlist - https://open.spotify.com/playlist/7hHKPNALpdaFYsm4Acqq2Q?si=biaVtS-uR8mcF40GhDnBjg&pi=u-l9rGKyPBTByH%E2%81%A0%E2%81%A0%E2%81%A0%E2%81%A0%E2%81%A0Find us on everything else here - https://linktr.ee/grownupkidsMusic by Caedan Bohon

advice for young filmmakers | chat with Brenna and Jude part two!
We're back with Brenna and Jude for part two! If you haven't watched part one, go check it out! We pick up talking about their ongoing and upcoming projects, the process of pre-production, writing, and all that goes into developing and distributing a story. Brenna and Jude have spent time on plenty of big film sets, independent projects, and everything under the "film industry" sun, which gives them a really cool perspective on how the industry can change and evolve. Their production house is making waves in the industry, in marketing and content, and in producing really good stories. We also ask them what advice they would give to someone wanting to get into the film industry and see the stories they have get made (spoiler alert: they have great advice) and their top 4 movies of all time!! do we believe the CERN conspiracy theories??
From the Berenstain (??) Bears, Mandela effects, CERN, aliens, and more, we discuss if we believe the conspiracy theories, is there life on other planets, are their alternate timelines? Sometimes it feels weird to talk about this stuff as Christians, but a. we don't care, and b. it doesn't change anything about the God that we love and that loves us! what is the purpose of the Holy Spirit?
The final part in our three part series, all about the Holy Spirit! The first episode we covered why did God create you (to love you!), then second episode we covered why did God send us Jesus (to bring light to the image/design of who you are), and now why did he send us Holy Spirit and was is the role of the Holy Spirit in our lives. As always, we aren't scholars...we're just two people in love with Jesus, loved by the Lord, learning to walk through life with Him in as much joy and peace as we can! This is just our take, but we really believe in it and endeavor to live this out. We hope this episode and 3-part series is encouraging to you! New episodes every Sunday! why did God send us Jesus?
Part two in our series we've been running...last week we talked about why did God create you (to love you!!) and this week we're talking about why God sent us Jesus! We have a bit of a different take than what you' hear in modern christianity typically, and while we aren't scholars we are people living our lives with the Lord, wanting to align with His heart for us and the world around us as much as possible! We hope this episode is encouraging and shows you a bit of why you were designed so perfectly, why you have such a gift in Jesus, and why God is such a loving father. New episodes every Sunday! God created you to love you
This week, we jump into a little 3-part series! But first, we have to Tube Eyes, Song of the Week, and One of Us Can Read. Jessie shares some recent reads like Yesteryear and her thoughts on that, new shows and old movies, and general chit chat like always because we are pros at getting side-tracked. But then we get down to the nitty gritty and talk about why you exist...because God created you to love you. If you want some encouragement, some inspiring conversation, need a reminder that you're loved, or want to argue with us in the comments, this is a good one! Next week we're jumping into why God sent us Jesus! New episodes every Sunday morning!
