This is Ken Ham, CEO of the Noah’s Ark attraction, Ark Encounter, where kids visit free. Marriage has been redefined around the world, particularly in the West. But marriage isn’t ours to define. You see, marriage isn’t ultimately a government, social, or cultural institution. It’s God’s institution! Genesis records the origin of marriage. God created male and female and brought them together to become one flesh. This first marriage establishes God’s design for marriage. Because God is our Creator, only he has authority to define marriage: and he says it’s between one man and one woman—that’s the only true marriage. We shouldn’t just follow our culture’s thinking.
