Just straight-up “Let’s bully the scientist because we need people to stop talking about the war, the economy and Trump stealing from us all.” Trump also asked the Supreme Court to overturn the $83.3 million defamation judgment against him for defaming writer E. Jean Carroll. Because apparently the only thing he hates more than accountability is math. Then James Comey stepped up and asked a federal judge to dismiss the Justice Department’s “Seashells” case, calling it vindictive and selective prosecution driven by Trump. We unpack the legal mess, the political mess, and the mess-mess. And speaking of mess, 73% of Americans say Trump isn’t paying enough attention to the country’s most important problems.
