Drew Sloss on Scaling Business, Leadership & Finding the Signal

Welcome to a new edition of the Famous Interviews with Joe Dimino series. On this episode, we talk with Founder, Leadership Advisor & Business Success Expert Drew Sloss. Drew scaled a high-7-figure business across five locations and 250 employees before discovering that the hardest part of growth isn't always strategy — it's signal. As organizations grow, communication gets harder. More people, more locations and more moving parts can make it increasingly difficult for leaders to hear what actually matters. Smart people can begin pulling in different directions, not because they don't care, but because they aren't seeing the same terrain. Drew experienced this challenge firsthand and built a framework to solve it for himself. Today, he helps other high-stakes leaders and growing organizations create clarity, alignment and better business outcomes. From his base in Nashville, we dig into his fascinating entrepreneurial journey, scaling a business, leadership, organizational alignment, communication, decision-making, business growth and the framework he developed from experience. It's quite a business story. Grammy Winner Dom Morley: 30 Years of Music Production, Mixing & Creativity

On this episode, we talk with Grammy-winning record producer, mix engineer, author, and former Professor of Music Production Dom Morley. Over 30 years at the top of the music industry, Dom Morley has built an extraordinary career working across genres, artists, and creative environments — while accomplishing some of the biggest dreams of a professional music producer. Dom learned his craft at London's legendary Metropolis Studios, working alongside influential producers including Tony Visconti, Phil Spector, and Mark Ronson. His deliberate approach as a creative generalist ultimately became the seed for his writing and thinking about creativity. A former Professor of Music Production at Leeds Conservatoire, Dom also founded The Mix Consultancy and the music collaboration platform Multiband. He writes a widely read and refreshingly skeptical newsletter for music producers, recording engineers, and creative professionals, sharing insights from decades spent inside the music industry. In this wide-ranging conversation, we explore music production, mixing, recording, engineering, creativity, collaboration, working with major artists, music education, studio culture, and the lessons Dom has learned across three decades in the business. Georgine Hodgkinson Interview | Crypto Island, Puerto Rico, Midlife & Personal Transformation

Welcome to a new edition of the Famous Interviews with Joe Dimino series. On this episode, we talk with College Professor, Former Program Director & Debut Memoirist Georgine Hodgkinson about her fascinating new book, Crypto Island: A Memoir of Midlife Relocation to Puerto Rico. What happens when a risk-averse academic leaves California during the pandemic and relocates to Puerto Rico, only to find herself immersed in one of the world's most controversial cryptocurrency communities? What begins as a front-row seat to Puerto Rico's crypto boom becomes something much more personal. In Crypto Island, Georgine explores how experiences with childhood poverty, addiction, fear, insecurity, money, privilege, identity, and belonging can continue shaping us long after we've achieved stability and success. Her unexpected journey places her inside a culture built around cryptocurrency, speculation, disruption, entrepreneurship, and radical risk-taking — a fascinating contrast to her own cautious academic background. Along the way, Georgine is forced to reconsider what it means to start over, what we carry with us from childhood, and how relocation can challenge our assumptions about success, identity, community, wealth, and personal transformation. In this conversation, we get into Crypto Island, Puerto Rico, cryptocurrency culture, midlife relocation, memoir writing, childhood poverty, addiction, privilege, identity, belonging, risk-taking, personal reinvention, and the unexpected ways life can change when we step outside our comfort zone. Mark Jamilkowski Interview | Mask of Romulus, Ancient Rome, India & Historical Fiction

Welcome to a new edition of the Famous Interviews with Joe Dimino series. On this episode, we catch up with Author Mark Jamilkowski to explore his remarkable journey as a writer and his acclaimed 2025 historical fiction novel, Mask of Romulus. Published in November 2025, Mask of Romulus takes readers deep into the world of Ancient Rome, where Augustus, Rome's first emperor, encounters Kamala, an oracle from India, creating an unexpected connection between two ancient civilizations. The novel weaves together history, philosophy, mythology, political power, spirituality, and human destiny. Mark's inspiration for the novel began with an archaeological discovery in Pompeii—including the discovery of a statue of the Hindu goddess Lakshmi—which led him to explore the historical connections between ancient Rome and India. This is also a reunion conversation. We originally caught up with Mark in 2024, and much has happened since then. His writing career has continued to grow alongside his work as a healthcare startup entrepreneur, and Mask of Romulus has attracted strong reviews and recognition from publications covering historical fiction. We also revisit his first historical fiction novel, The Road to Moresco, which follows Maria-Luisa and her daughter Chiara through the upheavals of early 20th-century Europe. Mark drew heavily on research, interviews, and family history to create the story. In this conversation, we get into historical fiction, Ancient Rome, Augustus Caesar, ancient India, mythology, philosophy, research, storytelling, entrepreneurship, family history, the creative process, and what it means to bring the past to life through fiction. It's quite a story. Enjoy this interview.
