    Dostoevsky's Raskolnikov VS Nietzsche's Ubermensch

This video explores Dostoevsky's Raskolnikov presented in Crime and Punishment and Nietzsche's concept of the Ubermensch. Raskolnikov’s pride separates him from society, he sees himself as a sort of “higher man”, indeed an ubermensch, a person who is extraordinary and thus above all moral rules that govern the rest of humanity, and so he cannot relate to anyone of the ordinary people "the herd", who must live in obedience and do not have the right to overstep the law. Although it is almost sure that Dostoevsky, who died in 1881, had never even heard the name of Nietzsche. Nietzsche on the other hand, not only knew some of Dostoevsky’s principal works, but actually acknowledged that he regarded him as the only psychologist from whom he had anything to learn. Nietzsche and Dostoevsky together both had strikingly similar themes, both were haunted by central questions surrounding the human existence, especially ones concerning God. They were both keen questioners and doubters. Both were “underworld minds” unable to come to terms either with other people or with the conditions they saw around them and both of them desperately wanted to create truth. 👑 Become a Patron Access exclusive material and deeper studies https://www.patreon.com/eternalised ⭐ Or become a YouTube Member https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCqos1tl0RntucGGtPXNxkkA/join — Support the work ☕ Buy a coffee: https://ko-fi.com/eternalised 💸 PayPal: https://www.paypal.com/paypalme/eternalisedofficial 👕 Official Merch: https://eternalised.creator-spring.com — For deeper study 📜 Full transcript: https://eternalisedofficial.com/2020/12/04/dostoevsky-and-nietzsche/ 📚 Personal library: https://eternalisedofficial.com/library 💡 eBooks: https://ko-fi.com/eternalised/shop 🎨 Artwork archive: https://eternalisedofficial.com/patron-benefits Stay connected 📨 Newsletter: https://eternalisedofficial.com/subscribe ✍️ Substack: https://substack.com/@eternalised — Elsewhere 🐦 X: https://x.com/eternalised1 📷 Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/eternalised_official 🎧 Podcast: https://anchor.fm/eternalised 📘 Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/eternalised ━━━━━━━━━━━━━ 📚 Recommended Reading Nietzsche ▶ The Birth of Tragedy (1872) https://amzn.to/3uohsRi ▶ Human, All Too Human (1878) https://amzn.to/2PDOmP7 ▶ The Dawn of Day (1881) https://amzn.to/3dyAE87 ▶ The Gay Science (1882) https://amzn.to/36rijIf ▶ Thus Spoke Zarathustra (1883) https://amzn.to/2F89V55 ▶ Beyond Good and Evil (1886) https://amzn.to/2DDjLLL ▶ On the Genealogy of Morals (1887) https://amzn.to/3jj0izq ▶ Twilight of the Idols or How to Philosophise with a Hammer and The Antichrist (1888) https://amzn.to/2Ol1Miq ▶ Ecce Homo (1888) https://amzn.to/39L9j1E Dostoevsky ▶ Notes from the Underground (1864) https://amzn.to/2DBRXas ▶ Crime and Punishment (1866) https://amzn.to/3h2BIks ▶ The Idiot (1869) https://amzn.to/3bxKFRK ▶ Demons (1872) https://amzn.to/2FexadH ▶ The Brothers Karamazov (1880) https://amzn.to/324Kiem 🎧 Prefer Audiobooks? Becoming Who You Truly Are (Self-Realisation)

What is the meaning of self-realisation? Becoming who you truly are. Life is a journey of self-realisation, of understanding and discovering who we truly are, and of maximising our potential. While this might be a life long journey, one can be closer or further from one's true self. This video analyses self-realisation from a philosophical and psychological perspective. Starting from the father of existentialism, Søren Kierkegaard, where we’ll discuss the self, despair and the leap of faith. Sigmund Freud as the father of psychoanalysis, Carl Rogers’ self-concept and Abraham Maslow’s self-actualisation. We’ll then discuss some aspects of eastern philosophy and their notion of self (Buddhism, Taoism, Advaita Vedanta), concluding with Carl Jung’s analytical psychology and process of individuation. 👑 Become a Patron Access exclusive material and deeper studies https://www.patreon.com/eternalised ⭐ Or become a YouTube Member https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCqos1tl0RntucGGtPXNxkkA/join — Support the work ☕ Buy a coffee: https://ko-fi.com/eternalised 💸 PayPal: https://www.paypal.com/paypalme/eternalisedofficial 👕 Official Merch: https://eternalised.creator-spring.com — For deeper study 📜 Full transcript: https://eternalisedofficial.com/2021/09/10/the-meaning-of-self-realisation/ 📚 Personal library: https://eternalisedofficial.com/library 💡 eBooks: https://ko-fi.com/eternalised/shop 🎨 Artwork archive: https://eternalisedofficial.com/patron-benefits Stay connected 📨 Newsletter: https://eternalisedofficial.com/subscribe ✍️ Substack: https://substack.com/@eternalised — Elsewhere 🐦 X: https://x.com/eternalised1 📷 Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/eternalised_official 🎧 Podcast: https://anchor.fm/eternalised 📘 Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/eternalised ━━━━━━━━━━━━━ 📚 Recommended Reading ▶ The Sickness unto Death - Kierkegaard https://amzn.to/3j8oLrd ▶ A Theory of Human Motivation - Maslow https://amzn.to/2WYNo3n ▶ On Becoming a Person - Rogers https://amzn.to/3C2nOtH ▶ Tao Te Ching – Taoism https://amzn.to/3nhVNdb ▶ Man and His Symbols - Jung https://amzn.to/3lYyz94 ▶ Memories, Dreams, Reflections – Jung https://amzn.to/3dAcD0z ▶ Modern Man In Search of a Soul – Jung https://amzn.to/2G3mhw7 🎧 Prefer Audiobooks? The Psychology of The Villain

The villain is the most captivating and intriguing of all archetypes. The hero would not exist without his darker counterpart, which reflects aspects of ourselves that we do not dare to acknowledge or confront, but which are present within all of us. The villain is often a mirror of the dark aspects of humanity, embodying qualities that are evil, harmful, greedy, selfish, and destructive. In recent times, villains can even become sympathetic, and possess redeeming qualities, making some of them oddly likeable despite their malicious intent and immoral actions, thus challenging our traditional notions of good and evil. This type of villain has never existed to the degree it exists in the 21st century, symbolising a major change in the collective unconscious—which speaks to a psychological experience that is common to us all. 👑 Become a Patron Access exclusive material and deeper studies https://www.patreon.com/eternalised ⭐ Or become a YouTube Member https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCqos1tl0RntucGGtPXNxkkA/join — Support the work ☕ Buy a coffee: https://ko-fi.com/eternalised 💸 PayPal: https://www.paypal.com/paypalme/eternalisedofficial 👕 Official Merch: https://eternalised.creator-spring.com — For deeper study 📜 Full transcript: https://eternalisedofficial.com/2024/03/26/the-psychology-of-the-villain/ 📚 Personal library: https://eternalisedofficial.com/library 💡 eBooks: https://ko-fi.com/eternalised/shop 🎨 Artwork archive: https://eternalisedofficial.com/patron-benefits Stay connected 📨 Newsletter: https://eternalisedofficial.com/subscribe ✍️ Substack: https://substack.com/@eternalised ━━━━━━━━━━━━━ 📚 Recommended Reading ▶ Frankenstein https://amzn.to/3IJV8uI ▶ Paradise Lost https://amzn.to/4csSmb1 ▶ Crime and Punishment https://amzn.to/3TJJqXa ▶ Batman: The Killing Joke https://amzn.to/4ao73dk ▶ Strange Case of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde https://amzn.to/3ILIBXF ▶ A Wizard of Earthsea https://amzn.to/3ILPhFa ▶ The Prince https://amzn.to/4a7WNXe 🎧 Prefer Audiobooks? The Philosophy of Laughter - Nietzsche

Nietzsche frequently laughs and he especially recommends laughing at oneself. He does not speak of just any laugh, but of a laugh that comes from the depths of man. It is from that depth that one must learn to laugh the superhuman laugh. This laughter arises from the state of anguish and suffering. This is Nietzsche's answer to the absurdity of life and the comedy of existence. Indeed, comedy must be included within the very art that Nietzsche proclaims is: “the highest task and the true metaphysical activity of this life.” Perhaps best expressed in his masterpiece Thus Spoke Zarathustra, where the prophet Zarathustra, talks about the “laughter of the herd” and the “laughter of the height”. Other books worthy of mention are: The Gay Science, Beyond Good and Evil and The Will to Power. How Dreams Can Anticipate Death and Point to the Afterlife

Death is one of the greatest mysteries of human existence, the inevitable fate that unites us all. Whenever man is confronted with something mysterious and unknown such as the origin of the world, death, the afterlife, etc., the unconscious produces symbolic representations. In her groundbreaking book, On Dreams and Death, Jungian analyst Marie-Louise von Franz writes about death dreams, that is, dreams of people who subsequently died. Therefore, they are of a precognitive nature, as they can anticipate the death of someone. In death dreams, the end of physical life is represented in a symbolic way, but almost always accompanied by manifestations that allude to the continuation of the person’s life. “It is in fact true, as Jung has emphasised, that the unconscious psyche pays very little attention to the abrupt end of bodily life and behaves as if the psychic life of the individual, that is, the individuation process, will simple continue… The unconscious “believes” quite obviously in a life after death.” - Marie-Louise von Franz 👑 Become a Patron Access exclusive material and deeper studies https://www.patreon.com/eternalised ⭐ Or become a YouTube Member https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCqos1tl0RntucGGtPXNxkkA/join — Support the work ☕ Buy a coffee: https://ko-fi.com/eternalised 💸 PayPal: https://www.paypal.com/paypalme/eternalisedofficial 👕 Official Merch: https://eternalised.creator-spring.com — For deeper study 📜 Full transcript: https://eternalisedofficial.com/2024/05/02/the-psychology-of-death-dreams/ 📚 Personal library: https://eternalisedofficial.com/library 💡 eBooks: https://ko-fi.com/eternalised/shop 🎨 Artwork archive: https://eternalisedofficial.com/patron-benefits Stay connected 📨 Newsletter: https://eternalisedofficial.com/subscribe ✍️ Substack: https://substack.com/@eternalised ━━━━━━━━━━━━━ 📚 Recommended Reading ▶ On Death and Dreams - M.L. von Franz https://amzn.to/4dfmQgO ▶ Ego and Archetype - Edward Edinger https://amzn.to/44kVYbu ▶ Memories, Dreams, Reflections - Carl Jung https://amzn.to/3waQbIJ ▶ Life after Life - Raymond Moody https://amzn.to/4b45hyy 🎧 Prefer Audiobooks? The Absurd Explained: Camus, Kierkegaard, and Dostoevsky

This video explores the concept of The Absurd of Camus, Kierkegaard, and Dostoevsky as well as the differences between these three existentialists. The Absurd is the conflict between the human tendency to seek inherent value and meaning in life, and the human inability to find any meaning in a purposeless, meaningless, and irrational universe, with the ‘unreasonable silence’ of the universe in response. Camus contributed to the rise of the philosophy known as Absurdism. Most famously expressed in The Myth of Sisyphus. Sisyphus is the ultimate Absurd Man, a man condemned by the gods to a lifetime of rolling a boulder up a hill, only to reach the top of the hill and have the boulder inevitably roll back down to the bottom for him to start all over again. Camus argued against the “leap of faith” of Kierkegaard and Dostoevsky considering it as “philosophical suicide”. His response to the absurd is to revolt, which he considers as the only coherent philosophical position. 👑 Become a Patron Access exclusive material and deeper studies https://www.patreon.com/eternalised ⭐ Or become a YouTube Member https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCqos1tl0RntucGGtPXNxkkA/join — Support the work ☕ Buy a coffee: https://ko-fi.com/eternalised 💸 PayPal: https://www.paypal.com/paypalme/eternalisedofficial 👕 Official Merch: https://eternalised.creator-spring.com — For deeper study 📜 Full transcript: https://eternalisedofficial.com/2020/11/20/the-absurd/ 📚 Personal library: https://eternalisedofficial.com/library 💡 eBooks: https://ko-fi.com/eternalised/shop 🎨 Artwork archive: https://eternalisedofficial.com/patron-benefits Stay connected 📨 Newsletter: https://eternalisedofficial.com/subscribe ✍️ Substack: https://substack.com/@eternalised — Elsewhere 🐦 X: https://x.com/eternalised1 📷 Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/eternalised_official 🎧 Podcast: https://anchor.fm/eternalised 📘 Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/eternalised ━━━━━━━━━━━━━ 📚 Recommended Reading ▶ Myth of Sisyphus - Camus https://amzn.to/36bTIFR ▶ Sickness unto Death - Kierkegaard https://amzn.to/3jMgzfT ▶ Demons - Dostoevsky https://amzn.to/3kTOl3W ▶ Brothers Karamazov - Dostoevsky https://amzn.to/3kLC7ue 🎧 Prefer Audiobooks? The Psychology of The Paranormal - Carl Jung

Since early childhood, Carl Jung experienced paranormal phenomena, that is, phenomena that are beyond the scope of scientific understanding. They were virtually commonplace in Jung’s family. Jung’s personal experiences with the paranormal would set him on a quest to find an explanation of these events with his theory of analytical psychology, as well as sparking his interest in parapsychology, the study of psychic or paranormal phenomena, especially regarding extrasensory perception or ESP (precognition, clairvoyance, telepathy, intuition, etc). Jung attended séances which formed the basis of his doctoral dissertation published in 1902, entitled On the Psychology and Pathology of So-Called Occult Phenomena. Jung admits that his period of the séances with his medium cousin contained the origin of all his ideas. He had discovered some objective facts about the human psyche. From then on, Jung got his first glimpse of the fact that there was another world (the unconscious) which had a life of its own quite apart from the life of consciousness. 👑 Become a Patron Access exclusive material and deeper studies https://www.patreon.com/eternalised ⭐ Or become a YouTube Member https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCqos1tl0RntucGGtPXNxkkA/join — Support the work ☕ Buy a coffee: https://ko-fi.com/eternalised 💸 PayPal: https://www.paypal.com/paypalme/eternalisedofficial 👕 Official Merch: https://eternalised.creator-spring.com — For deeper study 📜 Full transcript: https://eternalisedofficial.com/2024/06/05/the-psychology-of-the-paranormal-carl-jung 📚 Personal library: https://eternalisedofficial.com/library 💡 eBooks: https://ko-fi.com/eternalised/shop 🎨 Artwork archive: https://eternalisedofficial.com/patron-benefits Stay connected 📨 Newsletter: https://eternalisedofficial.com/subscribe ✍️ Substack: https://substack.com/@eternalised — Elsewhere 🐦 X: https://x.com/eternalised1 📷 Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/eternalised_official 🎧 Podcast: https://anchor.fm/eternalised 📘 Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/eternalised ━━━━━━━━━━━━━ 📚 Recommended Reading ▶ Memories, Dreams, Reflections - Carl Jung https://amzn.to/3waQbIJ ▶ Reflections on the Life and Dreams of C.G. Inner Gold - Alchemy and Psychology

Alchemy occupies a unique place in the collective psyche of humankind. Swiss psychiatrist and psychologist Jung discovered alchemy and devoted the remaining 30 years of his life to studying it, which he practically dug up from the dunghill of the past, for it was considered pseudoscience, a forgotten relic of history and despised field of investigation which he had suddenly revived. Alchemy allows one to achieve wholeness through a reconnection with the unconscious. For Jung, the task of alchemy was and has always been psychological. The end product is not material in nature, but rather spiritual. Alchemy is the art of expanding consciousness, of self-realisation. 👑 Become a Patron Access exclusive material and deeper studies https://www.patreon.com/eternalised ⭐ Or become a YouTube Member https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCqos1tl0RntucGGtPXNxkkA/join — Support the work ☕ Buy a coffee: https://ko-fi.com/eternalised 💸 PayPal: https://www.paypal.com/paypalme/eternalisedofficial 👕 Official Merch: https://eternalised.creator-spring.com — For deeper study 📜 Full transcript: https://eternalisedofficial.com/2022/07/30/alchemy-and-psychology/ 📚 Personal library: https://eternalisedofficial.com/library 💡 eBooks: https://ko-fi.com/eternalised/shop 🎨 Artwork archive: https://eternalisedofficial.com/patron-benefits Stay connected 📨 Newsletter: https://eternalisedofficial.com/subscribe ✍️ Substack: https://substack.com/@eternalised — Elsewhere 🐦 X: https://x.com/eternalised1 📷 Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/eternalised_official 🎧 Podcast: https://anchor.fm/eternalised 📘 Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/eternalised ━━━━━━━━━━━━━ 📚 Recommended Reading ▶ Jung and the Alchemical Imagination – Jeffrey Raff https://amzn.to/3oN6zYp ▶ Anatomy of the Psyche: Alchemical Symbolism in Psychotherapy – Edward Edinger https://amzn.to/3Sft4D6 ▶ Alchemy: An Introduction to the Symbolism and the Psychology – Marie-Louise von Franz https://amzn.to/3biinyU ▶ Psychology and Alchemy: Collected Works Vol.12 – Carl Jung https://amzn.to/3zLvWAu 🎧 Prefer Audiobooks? The Psychology of The Trickster

There is perhaps no figure in literature more fascinating than the trickster, appearing in various forms in the folklore of many cultures. Trickster is witty and deceitful. He is the timeless root of all the picaresque creations of world literature, and is not reducible to one single literary entity. Trickster tales have existed since ancient times, and has been said to be at the very foundation of civilisation and culture. They belong to the oldest expressions of mankind. Tricksters are the breakers of rules, agents of mischief, masters of deceit, and boundary crossers. He is an agent of change, and is amoral, not immoral. Trickster is at one and the same time creator and destroyer, giver and negator, he who dupes and who is always duped himself. Psychologically, the trickster is an archetype, part of the collective unconscious. Trickster is everywhere, he is an eternal state of mind. The integration of the trickster archetype allows us to go from being ruled by our own self-centred ego to a new way of living, in which one has integrity and relatedness. It allows us to become aware of our true emotions, behaviours, and thoughts, that our unconscious persona is hiding, and without which there is no individuation at all. 👑 Become a Patron Access exclusive material and deeper studies https://www.patreon.com/eternalised ⭐ Or become a YouTube Member https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCqos1tl0RntucGGtPXNxkkA/join — Support the work ☕ Buy a coffee: https://ko-fi.com/eternalised 💸 PayPal: https://www.paypal.com/paypalme/eternalisedofficial 👕 Official Merch: https://eternalised.creator-spring.com — For deeper study 📜 Full transcript: https://eternalisedofficial.com/2022/09/16/the-psychology-of-the-trickster/ 📚 Personal library: https://eternalisedofficial.com/library 💡 eBooks: https://ko-fi.com/eternalised/shop 🎨 Artwork archive: https://eternalisedofficial.com/patron-benefits Stay connected 📨 Newsletter: https://eternalisedofficial.com/subscribe ✍️ Substack: https://substack.com/@eternalised — Elsewhere 🐦 X: https://x.com/eternalised1 📷 Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/eternalised_official 🎧 Podcast: https://anchor.fm/eternalised 📘 Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/eternalised ━━━━━━━━━━━━━ 📚 Recommended Reading ▶ The Trickster – Paul Radin, Kerényi, and Jung https://amzn.to/3eTz3OK ▶ Trickster Makes This World: Mischief, Myth, and Art – Lewis Hyde https://amzn.to/3xr54Uu 🎧 Prefer Audiobooks? Carl Jung on UFOs: A Modern Myth of Hope and Fear

Strange sightings have been reported in the sky throughout history. After the Second World War, however, the appearance of UFOs became prominent in culture. Swiss psychiatrist and psychoanalyst Carl Jung studied the UFO phenomenon for more than a decade until his death in 1961. He wrote a book entitled Flying Saucers: A Modern Myth of Things Seen in the Skies, where he saw UFOs as a living myth for modern man, stating that we have the golden opportunity of seeing how a legend is formed, and how in a difficult and dark time for humanity a miraculous tale grows up of an attempted intervention by superior or “heavenly” beings. Jung’s field of interest is the human reaction to the phenomena, an effort to understand the complex working of our interior life, as this is revealed through the UFO phenomenon. UFOs are visionary rumours whose basis is an emotional tension having its cause in a situation of collective distress or in a vital psychic need – shedding light on the psychic compensation of the collective fear weighing on our hearts. UFOs have become a saviour myth, as we have projected on them a hope, an expectation. They express the symbol of totality represented by the mandala, the archetype of the Self, whose chief role is in uniting apparently irreconcilable opposites and is therefore best suited to compensate the split-mindedness of our age, bringing order and regulation to chaotic states. 👑 Become a Patron Access exclusive material and deeper studies https://www.patreon.com/eternalised ⭐ Or become a YouTube Member https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCqos1tl0RntucGGtPXNxkkA/join — Support the work ☕ Buy a coffee: https://ko-fi.com/eternalised 💸 PayPal: https://www.paypal.com/paypalme/eternalisedofficial 👕 Official Merch: https://eternalised.creator-spring.com — For deeper study 📜 Full transcript: https://eternalisedofficial.com/2024/07/05/the-psychology-of-ufos 📚 Personal library: https://eternalisedofficial.com/library 💡 eBooks: https://ko-fi.com/eternalised/shop 🎨 Artwork archive: https://eternalisedofficial.com/patron-benefits Stay connected 📨 Newsletter: https://eternalisedofficial.com/subscribe ✍️ Substack: https://substack.com/@eternalised — Elsewhere 🐦 X: https://x.com/eternalised1 📷 Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/eternalised_official 🎧 Podcast: https://anchor.fm/eternalised 📘 Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/eternalised ━━━━━━━━━━━━━ 📚 Recommended Reading ▶ Flying Saucers: A Modern Myth of Things Seen in the Skies - Carl Jung https://amzn.to/3RRw8GL ▶ Passport to Magonia: From Folklore to Flying Saucers - Jacques Vallée https://amzn.to/3W3el1X ▶ Crop Circles, Jung, and the Reemergence of the Archetypal Feminine - Gary S. Eastern Philosophy and Nietzsche | Buddhism and Hinduism

There are some good reasons to believe that Nietzsche was interested in Eastern philosophy during his lifetime, especially in Buddhism and Hinduism. Both Hinduism and Buddhism are of interest to Nietzsche not in themselves, but as alternative positions from which to continue his attack on Christianity. Although Nietzsche considers these philosophies as nihilistic (wrongly), he does indicate their profundity. It seems that he studied this material closely and appreciated it greatly. Throughout Nietzsche’s books and notes, he refers to different aspects of Eastern philosophy on more than four hundred occasions, and in several of these he claims to be interested in it. 📨 Free newsletter: https://eternalisedofficial.com/subscribe ⭐ Support this channel: https://www.patreon.com/eternalised 📺 YouTube Member Perks: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCqos1tl0RntucGGtPXNxkkA/join ☕ Donate a Coffee: https://ko-fi.com/eternalised 📘 PayPal https://www.paypal.com/paypalme/eternalisedofficial 🛒 Official Merch: https://eternalised.creator-spring.com 📚 My Personal Library: https://eternalisedofficial.com/library ━━━━━━━━━━━━━ 📚 Recommended Reading (High Quality and Best Translations) ▶ The Birth of Tragedy (1872) https://amzn.to/3uohsRi ▶ Human, All Too Human (1878) https://amzn.to/2PDOmP7 ▶ The Dawn of Day (1881) https://amzn.to/3dyAE87 ▶ The Gay Science (1882) https://amzn.to/36rijIf ▶ Thus Spoke Zarathustra (1883) https://amzn.to/2F89V55 ▶ Beyond Good and Evil (1886) https://amzn.to/2DDjLLL ▶ On the Genealogy of Morals (1887) https://amzn.to/3jj0izq ▶ Twilight of the Idols or How to Philosophise with a Hammer and The Antichrist (1888) https://amzn.to/2Ol1Miq ▶ Ecce Homo (1888) https://amzn.to/39L9j1E 🎧 Prefer Audiobooks? The Dark Philosophy of Cosmicism - H.P. Lovecraft

Lovecraft's dark philosophy of cosmic horror is known as Cosmicism, which focuses on the insignificance of humanity and its doings at the cosmos-at-large, in contrast to the anthropocentric philosophies in which many find intellectual reassurance. This form of non-anthropocentrism is crucial to the philosophy of Cosmicism. The question of the meaning of life was better left unanswered. Cosmicism is a type of extreme existentialism, as it brings up the uncertainty about the role of humanity in the uncaring universe, an existential crisis on a large scale. Lovecraft embraces the truth of reality. Things are important to us on the human scale, but we simply don’t matter in the cosmos. He described us as "the miserable denizens of a wretched little flyspeck on the back door of a microscopic universe.” 👑 Become a Patron Access exclusive material and deeper studies https://www.patreon.com/eternalised ⭐ Or become a YouTube Member https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCqos1tl0RntucGGtPXNxkkA/join — Support the work ☕ Buy a coffee: https://ko-fi.com/eternalised 💸 PayPal: https://www.paypal.com/paypalme/eternalisedofficial 👕 Official Merch: https://eternalised.creator-spring.com — For deeper study 📜 Full transcript: https://eternalisedofficial.com/2022/02/11/cosmicism-lovecraft/ 📚 Personal library: https://eternalisedofficial.com/library 💡 eBooks: https://ko-fi.com/eternalised/shop 🎨 Artwork archive: https://eternalisedofficial.com/patron-benefits Stay connected 📨 Newsletter: https://eternalisedofficial.com/subscribe ✍️ Substack: https://substack.com/@eternalised — Elsewhere 🐦 X: https://x.com/eternalised1 📷 Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/eternalised_official 🎧 Podcast: https://anchor.fm/eternalised 📘 Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/eternalised ━━━━━━━━━━━━━ 📚 Recommended Reading The Complete Fiction of H.P. Synchronicity: Meaningful Patterns in Life

Synchronicity is a term coined by Carl Jung which describes meaningful patterns or meaningful coincidences of outer and inner events that cannot be causally linked. It occurs when an inwardly perceived event (dream, vision, premonition, thought or mood) is seen to have a correspondence in external reality: the inner image has “come true”, bringing meaning to your life. When Jung was investigating the phenomena of the collective unconscious, he kept on coming across “coincidences” that were connected so meaningfully, that they broke all statistical probabilities. The culmination of his investigations is covered in his work: Synchronicity: An Acausal Connecting Principle. 👑 Become a Patron Access exclusive material and deeper studies https://www.patreon.com/eternalised ⭐ Or become a YouTube Member https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCqos1tl0RntucGGtPXNxkkA/join — Support the work ☕ Buy a coffee: https://ko-fi.com/eternalised 💸 PayPal: https://www.paypal.com/paypalme/eternalisedofficial 👕 Official Merch: https://eternalised.creator-spring.com — For deeper study 📜 Full transcript: https://eternalisedofficial.com/2022/05/23/synchronicity-carl-jung/ 📚 Personal library: https://eternalisedofficial.com/library 💡 eBooks: https://ko-fi.com/eternalised/shop 🎨 Artwork archive: https://eternalisedofficial.com/patron-benefits Stay connected 📨 Newsletter: https://eternalisedofficial.com/subscribe ✍️ Substack: https://substack.com/@eternalised — Elsewhere 🐦 X: https://x.com/eternalised1 📷 Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/eternalised_official 🎧 Podcast: https://anchor.fm/eternalised 📘 Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/eternalised ━━━━━━━━━━━━━ 📚 Recommended Reading ▶ Synchronicity: An Acausal Connecting Principle https://amzn.to/38TfUK4 ▶ Man and His Symbols https://amzn.to/3lYyz94 ▶ Modern Man In Search of a Soul https://amzn.to/2G3mhw7 ▶ Memories, Dreams, Reflections https://amzn.to/3dAcD0z 🎧 Get a 30-day Audible Plus FREE trial (affiliate link): https://amzn.to/332zPzN ━━━━━━━━━━━━━ 🎶 Music used 1. The Psychology of Animals

Animals have been an integral part of human existence since our earliest origins. They are deeply ingrained within us and play a crucial role in the unconscious. In various religions, animals are revered as gods. Swiss psychiatrist and psychologist Carl Jung frequently remarked that animals embodied the divine aspect of the human psyche. He wrote a bold statement for a thinker of his era, "Even domestic animals, to whom we erroneously deny a conscience, have complexes and moral reactions.” We belong to the animal kingdom, and knowing this is part of the individuation process, the journey towards wholeness. Yet, we seem to have forgotten our roots. The animal is a symbol of the Self. It embodies the complete wisdom of nature yet does not possess the light of human consciousness. Animals are deeply connected to a “secret” order within nature itself and the absolute knowledge of the unconscious, living according to their own inner laws beyond human notions of good and evil. Animals live exactly as they were meant to live, and grasp a sense of wholeness instinctively, rather than intellectually. They are the ones who can lead us to this source of natural life. 👑 Become a Patron Access exclusive material and deeper studies https://www.patreon.com/eternalised ⭐ Or become a YouTube Member https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCqos1tl0RntucGGtPXNxkkA/join — Support the work ☕ Buy a coffee: https://ko-fi.com/eternalised 💸 PayPal: https://www.paypal.com/paypalme/eternalisedofficial 👕 Official Merch: https://eternalised.creator-spring.com — For deeper study 📜 Full transcript: https://eternalisedofficial.com/2024/08/07/the-psychology-of-animals 📚 Personal library: https://eternalisedofficial.com/library 💡 eBooks: https://ko-fi.com/eternalised/shop 🎨 Artwork archive: https://eternalisedofficial.com/patron-benefits Stay connected 📨 Newsletter: https://eternalisedofficial.com/subscribe ✍️ Substack: https://substack.com/@eternalised — Elsewhere 🐦 X: https://x.com/eternalised1 📷 Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/eternalised_official 🎧 Podcast: https://anchor.fm/eternalised 📘 Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/eternalised ━━━━━━━━━━━━━ 📚 Recommended Reading ▶ Archetypal Symbolism in Animals – Barbara Hannah https://amzn.to/3AaM1lW ▶ Grimm’s Fairy Tales https://amzn.to/3WwtBDk ▶ The Interpretation of Fairy Tales – Marie-Louise von Franz https://amzn.to/3yxI8qt ▶ Archetypal Patterns in Fairy Tales – Marie-Louise von Franz https://amzn.to/3Wm2ta4 ▶ The Cat: A Tale of Feminine Redemption – Marie-Louise von Franz https://amzn.to/3ya7Z80 ▶ Animal Presences: Uniform Edition of the Writings of James Hillman, Vol. 9 https://amzn.to/3Wwgylq ▶ Aesop’s Tales https://amzn.to/4fqrhGO ▶ Medieval Book of Beasts https://amzn.to/4foDzPT 🎧 Prefer Audiobooks? The Dream That Saved a Man From Death - Dostoevsky

The Dream of a Ridiculous Man is a short story published in 1877 by Fyodor Dostoevsky. It is practically a complete encyclopedia of Dostoevsky’s most important themes. Most of Dostoevsky’s major characters always have “something ridiculous” about them, but they are simultaneously highly self-conscious and capable of deep insight into themselves and the world. The story opens with the narrator contemplating the ridiculousness of his own life, and his recent realisation that there is nothing of any value in the world, everything to him appears as indifferent. The Labyrinth: Why We Must Lose Our Way to Find Ourselves

Confusion, wandering, isolation, darkness, disorientation—all evoke the labyrinth, a complex network of paths in which it is difficult to find one’s way out. Or do they? The labyrinth’s original meaning has been entirely distorted, which is only to be expected from such a perplexing symbol. Today, the labyrinth is found everywhere: in architecture, art, books, movies, and games. The archetypal image of the labyrinth fundamentally expresses the path of life, full of dark corners and unexpected turns. If we overcome them, we are transformed and enlightened – if not, we become disoriented and find life meaningless. The labyrinth is an archetype, a primordial image that dates back to the Bronze Age (around 2500 to 2000 BC), making it one of the oldest symbols. It encompasses various images: the path of life, the Earth Mother, birth, dance, warding off evil, initiation, liminality, the descent into the underworld, symbolic death and rebirth, the journey to the Self, the alchemical Great Work and the pilgrim’s spiritual journey. 👑 Become a Patron Access exclusive material and deeper studies https://www.patreon.com/eternalised ⭐ Or become a YouTube Member https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCqos1tl0RntucGGtPXNxkkA/join — Support the work ☕ Buy a coffee: https://ko-fi.com/eternalised 💸 PayPal: https://www.paypal.com/paypalme/eternalisedofficial 👕 Official Merch: https://eternalised.creator-spring.com — For deeper study 📜 Full transcript: https://eternalisedofficial.com/2024/09/06/the-labyrinth-archetype 📚 Personal library: https://eternalisedofficial.com/library 💡 eBooks: https://ko-fi.com/eternalised/shop 🎨 Artwork archive: https://eternalisedofficial.com/patron-benefits Stay connected 📨 Newsletter: https://eternalisedofficial.com/subscribe ✍️ Substack: https://substack.com/@eternalised — Elsewhere 🐦 X: https://x.com/eternalised1 📷 Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/eternalised_official 🎧 Podcast: https://anchor.fm/eternalised 📘 Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/eternalised ━━━━━━━━━━━━━ 📚 Recommended Reading ▶ Through the labyrinth: designs and meanings over 5,000 years - Hermann Kern https://amzn.to/4e5WAW1 ▶ Labyrinth of the World and Paradise of the Heart - John Amos Comenius https://amzn.to/4dWV0WV ▶ Labyrinths: Selected Stories & Other Writings - Jorge Luis Borges https://amzn.to/3Z2LCvW ▶ Pilgrim’s Progress - John Bunyan https://amzn.to/3yZl9VK ▶ The Divine Comedy: Inferno; Purgatorio; Paradiso - Dante Alighieri https://amzn.to/3zkiHZQ 🎧 Prefer Audiobooks? The Persona - The Mask That Conceals Your True Self

The persona is one of Carl Jung's most well-known concepts, representing the social mask that we put on. We all embody different masks in different settings, as it is our way to adapt to the demands of society, playing an important part in shaping our social role and in how we deal with other people. But, it also has its dangers. We will be discussing the dangers of concealing our true self. We may use the persona to help us conceal our vulnerabilities and other parts that we do not want to reveal about ourselves, or we may excessively identify with the persona. The persona prevents us from what Jung considered the most important task in our lives, the process of individuation, bringing one closer to the Self. 👑 Become a Patron Access exclusive material and deeper studies https://www.patreon.com/eternalised ⭐ Or become a YouTube Member https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCqos1tl0RntucGGtPXNxkkA/join — Support the work ☕ Buy a coffee: https://ko-fi.com/eternalised 💸 PayPal: https://www.paypal.com/paypalme/eternalisedofficial 👕 Official Merch: https://eternalised.creator-spring.com — For deeper study 📜 Full transcript: https://eternalisedofficial.com/2021/12/24/the-persona-carl-jung/ 📚 Personal library: https://eternalisedofficial.com/library 💡 eBooks: https://ko-fi.com/eternalised/shop 🎨 Artwork archive: https://eternalisedofficial.com/patron-benefits Stay connected 📨 Newsletter: https://eternalisedofficial.com/subscribe ✍️ Substack: https://substack.com/@eternalised — Elsewhere 🐦 X: https://x.com/eternalised1 📷 Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/eternalised_official 🎧 Podcast: https://anchor.fm/eternalised 📘 Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/eternalised ━━━━━━━━━━━━━ 📚 Recommended Reading ▶ Man and His Symbols (1964) https://amzn.to/3lYyz94 ▶ Modern Man In Search of a Soul (1933) https://amzn.to/2G3mhw7 ▶ Memories, Dreams, Reflections (1961) https://amzn.to/3dAcD0z 🎧 Prefer Audiobooks? The Underground Man - Fyodor Dostoevsky's Warning to The World

Russian novelist Fyodor Dostoevsky wrote Notes from Underground in 1864 which is considered to be one of the first existentialist works, emphasising the importance of freedom, responsibility and individuality. It is an extraordinary piece of literature, social critique and satire of the Russian nihilist movement as well as a novel with deep psychological insights on the nature of man. Dostoevsky’s most sustained and spirited attack on the Russian nihilist movement is voiced by one of the darkest, least sympathetic of all his characters – the nameless narrator and protagonist known as the Underground Man, revealing the hopeless dilemmas in which he lands as a result. Notes from Underground attempts to warn people of several ideas that were gaining ground in the 1860s including: moral and political nihilism, rational egoism, determinism, utilitarianism, utopianism, atheism and what would become communism. 👑 Become a Patron Access exclusive material and deeper studies https://www.patreon.com/eternalised ⭐ Or become a YouTube Member https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCqos1tl0RntucGGtPXNxkkA/join — Support the work ☕ Buy a coffee: https://ko-fi.com/eternalised 💸 PayPal: https://www.paypal.com/paypalme/eternalisedofficial 👕 Official Merch: https://eternalised.creator-spring.com — For deeper study 📜 Full transcript: https://eternalisedofficial.com/2021/11/27/the-underground-man-dostoevsky/ 📚 Personal library: https://eternalisedofficial.com/library 💡 eBooks: https://ko-fi.com/eternalised/shop 🎨 Artwork archive: https://eternalisedofficial.com/patron-benefits Stay connected 📨 Newsletter: https://eternalisedofficial.com/subscribe ✍️ Substack: https://substack.com/@eternalised — Elsewhere 🐦 X: https://x.com/eternalised1 📷 Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/eternalised_official 🎧 Podcast: https://anchor.fm/eternalised 📘 Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/eternalised ━━━━━━━━━━━━━ 📚 Recommended Reading ▶ Notes from Underground (1864) https://amzn.to/2DBRXas ▶ Crime and Punishment (1866) https://amzn.to/3h2BIks ▶ The Idiot (1869) https://amzn.to/3bxKFRK ▶ Demons (1872) https://amzn.to/2FexadH ▶ The Brothers Karamazov (1880) https://amzn.to/324Kiem 🎧 Prefer Audiobooks? The Psychology of Immature Masculinity

The crisis in mature masculinity is very much upon us. Men feel anxious, on the verge of feeling impotent, helpless, frustrated, unloved, unappreciated, and often ashamed of being masculine. Something vital is missing in the many lives of men. For students of mythology and Jungian psychology, there is hope. The external deficiencies we face—absent fathers, immature role models, a lack of meaningful rituals, and the scarcity of ritual elders—can be overcome if we look within ourselves, and turn towards the archetypes of the mature masculine within our unconscious. In King, Warrior, Magician, Lover: Rediscovering the Archetypes of the Mature Masculine, Robert Moore and Douglas Gillette explore the difference between Boy psychology or the archetypes of immature masculinity and Man psychology or the archetypes of mature masculinity, as well as their shadow sides. “The more beautiful, competent, and creative we become, the more we seem to invite the hostility of our superiors, or even of our peers. What we are really being attacked by is the immaturity in human beings who are terrified of our advances on the road toward masculine or feminine fullness of being.” 👑 Become a Patron Access exclusive material and deeper studies https://www.patreon.com/eternalised ⭐ Or become a YouTube Member https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCqos1tl0RntucGGtPXNxkkA/join — Support the work ☕ Buy a coffee: https://ko-fi.com/eternalised 💸 PayPal: https://www.paypal.com/paypalme/eternalisedofficial 👕 Official Merch: https://eternalised.creator-spring.com — For deeper study 📜 Full transcript: https://eternalisedofficial.com/2024/10/11/the-psychology-of-immature-masculinity 📚 Personal library: https://eternalisedofficial.com/library 💡 eBooks: https://ko-fi.com/eternalised/shop 🎨 Artwork archive: https://eternalisedofficial.com/patron-benefits Stay connected 📨 Newsletter: https://eternalisedofficial.com/subscribe ✍️ Substack: https://substack.com/@eternalised — Elsewhere 🐦 X: https://x.com/eternalised1 📷 Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/eternalised_official 🎧 Podcast: https://anchor.fm/eternalised 📘 Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/eternalised ━━━━━━━━━━━━━ 📚 Recommended Reading ▶ King, Warrior, Magician, Lover: Rediscovering the Archetypes of the Mature Masculine https://amzn.to/3BJI1cz 🎧 Prefer Audiobooks?
