Unity Through Community

What would the church look like if we truly lived like the early believers? In this powerful and challenging message, we dig into the heart of Acts 2 and Acts 4 — the devotion, the fellowship, the shared life, the encouragement, and the power that marked the first church. They devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching, to fellowship, to the breaking of bread, and to prayer. They were of one heart and one soul. They had everything in common. There was not a needy person among them. And the Lord added to their number daily those who were being saved. This message is both an encouragement and a loving challenge to East Gate Church (and the wider body of Christ). God is calling us out of isolation and into true community. He is calling every one of us to stop being “a bum on a seat” and to discover the gifts, talents, and role He has given us so we can build one another up. Key highlights from the message: - The early church as a living community (not just a weekly gathering) - The example of the kibbutz — everyone had a part to play - Barnabas the encourager — and the call for more Barnabases today - Love God first, then love the brothers and sisters in Christ - The Judgment Seat of Christ — what did you do with the talent He gave you? - A wake-up call: the world will suck the life out of you if you’re not intentional If this word challenges or encourages you, drop a comment below so we can pray with you and support you. Let’s pursue the kind of unity and love that makes the world say, “Look how they love one another.” 📖 Scriptures: Acts 2:42–47 | Acts 4:32–37 | Psalm 133 | Mark 12:29–31 | Ephesians 5:10 -- We are East Gate Church Elderslie - a vibrant and awake church in Elderslie, Scotland reaching the local community and beyond with the love and hope of Jesus.

Key highlights from the message:
- The early church as a living community (not just a weekly gathering)
- The example of the kibbutz — everyone had a part to play
- Barnabas the encourager — and the call for more Barnabases today
- Love God first, then love the brothers and sisters in Christ
- The Judgment Seat of Christ — what did you do with the talent He gave you?
- A wake-up call: the world will suck the life out of you if you’re not intentional

If this word challenges or encourages you, drop a comment below so we can pray with you and support you. Let’s pursue the kind of unity and love that makes the world say, “Look how they love one another.”
