As always, we look at the good, the bad, and the problematic--and as is often the case, the latter two are much better represented. With the first film, I open with a short history of the blockbuster at that time, starting with "Jaws" in '75, and how Star Trek fit into that. I also get into the idea that the odd-numbered films are bad and the even-numbered ones good, and whether or not that holds up with part III. With the second film, I talk about how it wasn't originally one of my favorites, but how this viewing I really enjoyed it; I also look at how "End Game" follows some of its premise, and chat a little bit about the Challenger explosion that happened the same year this film was released.
