Flatwoods West Virginia - The Flatwoods Monster
On September 12, 1952, a glowing object dropped from the sky over Flatwoods, West Virginia. A group of boys, a mother, a young National Guardsman and a dog climbed the hill to look. They ran back down describing a ten-foot figure with a blood-red face, a pointed hood and glowing eyes, gliding toward them out of a foul mist. Was it a visitor from another world, or a startled barn owl having a very bad night? The Death Road - Bolivia's Most Dangerous Highway Has a Terrifying Secret
Bolivia's North Yungas Road has a nickname it earned in full: the Road of Death. A single-lane ribbon of dirt and stone clinging to the Andes, with a wall of rock on one side and a two-thousand-foot drop into fog on the other — no guardrail, no shoulder, no mercy. Pluckley & Dering Woods - 16 Ghosts in One Tiny Village

Four thousand people are buried on a hill outside Peoria, Illinois, and most of them don't have names — just numbers, pressed into small flat stones. For eight years, every time one of them went into the ground, a man was there to cry. He couldn't speak. Nobody ever learned his real name. The staff called him Old Book, after the only thing anyone knew about his past, and they loved him. On the night of August 21st, 1986, a small crater lake in northwestern Cameroon took a breath — and let it out. There was no fire. No flood. No wound on a single body.
