Send us Fan Mail Have you ever been frustrated with a product and said "Hey, I can do this better?" I think we all have and have often wondered how we can make that change. Well Dr. Matt Burton decided to take action on those thoughts. Dr. Matthew Burton, DDS has worked as an established dental practitioner in Illinois since 2008. Like most dentists, his schedule was filled with one of the most common procedures: the Class II composite restoration. After several years in his practice working on hundreds of fillings, Dr. Burton became frustrated with the available Class II matrix systems. He tried nearly every system, but none of them provided the efficiency and consistent results he was seeking. He found that the major difficulty lies in properly placing and wedging the matrix bands. If not performed correctly, it cost him valuable time, required unnecessary & timely post polymerization adjustments, and ultimately led to a lack of confidence in the procedure. Furthermore, Dr. Burton has discovered that different components from different matrix systems, when combined, produce consistently outstanding results. Dr. Burton began contemplating new ideas to make his chair-side time more efficient. He discovered that he could simplify & streamline the Class II restoration process by simply re-designing the wedge to "split" down the middle. The flexible Split Wedge allows for proper gingival seal, perfect matrix contour, while greatly minimizing flash. He ultimately realized that the design of this wedge played a critical role in achieving excellent outcomes in an incredibly efficient way. With no other products like it on the market, Dr. Burton knew there would be demand for his matrix systems. In 2017, he formed Burton Dental Innovations to begin marketing and selling his products to other dentists who face the same challenges in their own practices. Dr. Burton enjoys testing new and forward thinking technology, and embraces these advancements as crucial to office efficiency and case outcome. He has realized the importance of digital scanning and how software integration platforms are a key element to utilizing scan data. Dr. Burton began teaching CE courses to dentists around the world in July 2020 and is enthusiastic to continue to share what he has learned and how it has helped shape a high level of care in his office.

Zuckerberg, D.D.S.,F.A.G.D. is a 1978 Graduate of NYU College of Dentistry. He owned his own practices in Brooklyn and Dobbs Ferry, NY from 1979-2013 and has always been an early adopter of technology, introducing his first PC in the office in 1986 and completely fully networking his home-based office with broadband access in 1996. Dr. Zuckerberg’s early adoption of technologies including digital radiography, CAD/CAM & creation of a paperless office caught the attention of Industry leaders who enlisted him to lecture, write articles and beta test new technologies. The advanced technology in the home helped launch his son, Mark's, the founder of Facebook, interest in computers. With his wife of 43 years, Karen, a retired Psychiatrist, they also have 3 daughters, Randi, former Marketing Director at Facebook and now CEO of Zuckerberg Media, Donna, who received her Classics Ph.D at Princeton and is now an author and editor of the online publication, Eidolon, featuring a modern way to write about the ancient world & Arielle, who is a partner in a Financial Firm in San Francisco, as well as 7 grandchildren. Dr. Zuckerberg lectures nationally and internationally on Technology integration in the Dental Office, Social Media Marketing and the Oral Systemic Connection, and consults privately with Dental Practices and advises Dental/Medical Technology Startups in addition to treating patients part time in Cupertino, CA. Dr. Robbins has published over 80 articles, abstracts, and chapters on a wide range of dental subjects and has lectured in the United States, Canada, Mexico, South America, Europe, Middle East, China, and Africa. He has lectured both nationally and internationally for more than 25 years, directs several study clubs and serves as an instructor for both the Piper Education and Research Center as well as Spear Education. Dr. Travis Campbell, has been a practicing dentist since 2009, after graduating from Baylor University in Waco, Texas (2005) and then Baylor College of Dentistry in Dallas, Texas. Yes, Dr. Campbell is a born and bred Texan, and proud of it. But even more notable, dentistry simply runs through his veins. He announced he “wanted to be a dentist” after his first dental visit at the age of three, and never once changed his goal. Today, dentistry remains a passion. In fact, before he graduated from dental school, he built a vision and business plan for 380 Family Dentistry in Prosper, Texas. At the time, the town of Prosper was a very tiny community well north of Dallas. There were cattle living across the highway from his first office! Dr. Campbell is now an author, trainer, speaker, contributor to various online dental communities, and dental coach and consultant. Ever an entrepreneur, Dr. Campbell purchased a second dental practice, in Garland, Texas in the fall of 2019.
