98 Jasmine Rice: Delegation Does Not Always Mean Hiring a Team
Send us Fan Mail Your network can be part of your delegation strategy. That idea came up in my conversation with Jasmine Rice, and it landed hard. We tend to think delegation means: Hire someone. Assign the task. Move on. But Jasmine and I talked about a more creative version of delegation. Bartering services. Using interns. Leaning into networking groups. Asking someone with expertise to help you think differently. Finding the speaker, coach, consultant, or strategic brain you do not personally have to become. That is still delegation. It may not show up as a neat little line item on your org chart, but it absolutely creates capacity. And for founders, solopreneurs, and service providers, capacity is often the thing we are starving for while pretending we are “fine.” Jasmine said something I loved: Stop micromanaging the outcome. Because even when we do everything ourselves, we still cannot control everything. Annoying? Yes. True? Also yes. This episode is a great reminder to start small, get creative, and stop making yourself the whole entire department.
