Dee, Let Me Clear My Throat

Dee M

I’ve created this site to touch base on things that others may feel, say, or wish were said more often. I’m passionate about pretty much, you, me, our Nation, GOD and everything in between. It’s not intended to patronize anybody, nor is it to state that I’m an opinionated person that isn’t willing to listen or try to understand others.

The Path of Tomorrow (in honor of my mom)

Sometimes in life we find ourselves faced with moments of prioritization. Even if we do not always realize or understand we are doing so. Getting caught up in day-to-day or even moment-to-moment situations that take us away from others or beyond our normal routines can pass us by faster than our next breath even allows. In this episode, I talk about my life doing just that. Please join me in this episode as well as my many others either on my Podbean or YouTube Channel @ Dee Let Me Clear My Throat. I dedicate this Podcast to my Mom, Denise. Without you where would I be?

Different Point of View - Song I Wrote for My Daughter

Here is a song I wrote to my daughter. Different Point of View. I am including the lyrics below. I hope you enjoy. It’s those moments that you can’t see Memories of yesterday, where I can’t be The world keeps on spinning while I’m standing still They say it will get easier, but I don’t think it will Holding you back is what I did With mixed emotion of trauma growing up as a kid Left to follow you when it wasn’t right Seemed to be the only version of tears you felt at night Your eyes became curtains of things you feel Covered in a heartache that severs you still How do I get back what we’ve both lost When you’re always the one that’s seems to keep paying the cost If you could see me now, what would you see Would it be a reflection of who you really need Would I make you proud, like I used to do Would you look at me now with a different point of view I’ve picked myself up and I get stronger everyday But that’s not the version of me you saw yesterday Now I’m standing tall and looking ahead Wishing I could change all the memories you’ve ever shed Time was against all the pain I couldn’t heal Ticking through the moment now space to find and steal Pushing through the darkness trying to light my way Leaving you behind in a world that you have today How do you look in a reflection that hurts you so Too many emotions, like age they grow I can’t give you now, what is lost I can only pray your vision of me it won’t cost If you could see me now, what would you see Would it be a reflection of who you really need Would I make you proud like I used to do Would you look at me now with a different point of view I’ve made my mistakes, and I almost died I’m sorry for all the emptiness that you’ve ever felt inside Finding myself in a world I now want to stay From the different me you remember from yesterday Healing from a life you used to see Is my bridge of hope leading you back to me Now in front of you here I stand With nothing to offer but my hand If only step by step and breath by breath is what we do Maybe then you’ll get the chance to see a different point of view If you could see me now, what would you see Would it be a reflection, of who you really need Would I make you proud like I used to do Would you look at me now, with a different point of view If you could see me now, what would you see Would it be a reflection, of who you really need Would I make you proud like I used to do Would you look at me now, with a different point of view If you could see me now, what would you see Would it be a reflection, of who you really need Would I make you proud like I used to do Would you look at me now Would you look at me now Please look at me now Will you look at me now With a different point of view

    Never Use Alone

There are designated drivers that dedicate themselves to ensure that someone makes it home safely after a time of drinking. Someone to ensure that they are safe and they don't judge and belittle them. Someone that ensures that they get medical intervention in the possibility of alcohol poisoning or alcohol overdose. So, what happens in the same scenarios but instead of the choice of substance is not alcohol, but instead drugs? Not just "street drugs", but any and all drugs. Even from your local gas station, synthetic? In this episode, I talk about an organization that I came across that offers this type of lifesaving intervention for those that use drugs, regardless of kind. No, judgement, no legal reprimanding, just someone on the other end of a phone line ready to call 911 while you "use". The service isn't about enabling; it's about being the "designated driver". So, please join me in this Podcast as well as my others either on my Podbean or YouTube Channel @ dee let me clear my throat. Time is the one thing in life you can't get back, knowing there is someone dedicating theirs to help you, can be lifesaving. I'm not promoting drug or alcohol use, but if you do, Contact: NEVER USE ALONE. 800.484.3731 or 877.696.1996.

Domestically UnAlived - Power and Control for Eternity

In this episode, I go over the devastation and importance of domestic violence and suicide. I talk about some of my own personal experiences, as well as some resources, not only for the victim but for the abuser as well. Help is available and is possible. It does not just affect the victim and the abuser, but a whole family. If healing and intervention is not implicated, then the cycle continues on and on to future generations. I feel that this needs to be addressed in a greater importance than just throwing someone in jail or sending them to a couple of classes, especially when a victim feels that the only alternative is suicide, or an abuser decided to take both lives into their own hands with a murder/suicide. Giving them the power and control for eternity.

    Domestically UnAlived

This episode is a HUGE trigger for me. I talk about not only my own experiences but also the importance of domestic abuse and suicide. Abuse is NO joke! Suicide is NO joke! When you put the two together the result is beyond heartbreaking. The statistics of even one is too many. Please join me in this episode, as well as my others, either on my Podbean or YouTube Channel @ Dee Let Me Clear My Throat. I have also started a TikTok. It is still fairly new, but I am excited to see what its future will hold.

    My Feelings

Happy 2-year Podcast Anniversary to us! In tonight's episode, I expressed my excitement in celebrating 2 years of doing my Podcast. I also got into my emotions and feelings. Talking about things in my life and where I am at today with myself. I started doing my Podcast to not only help myself in a form of self-healing, but to also share my life, stories, and resources to others in order to help provide them a positive moment of hope, courage, dignity, understanding, reflection, reassurance of someone relating to what they don't say, and an opportunity to want to take your next breath without it suffocating you. As I always say, the one thing in life that you can't get back, that is priceless, is your time. If you dedicate it by sharing it with me, then I know that you have taken your priceless time and shared it with me, and for that, I am honored. Thank you for being a part of this journey and I look forward to many more priceless moments and sharing them with you. Please join me in this Podcasts as well as my others either on my Podbean or YouTube Channel @ Dee Let Me Clear My Throat. Although, still new, I just recently started a TikTok Channel @ Dee Let Me Clear My Throat.

    Judge Mental Life

Unlike the pictures in an activity book on how many different things you can pick out or notice, life is anything but an activity book. Instead, it seems that society seems to find ways to pick out and determine what is deemed to be an acceptable kind of different and a judgmental version based off of opinion, the latest trend, money, and so on. We are brought up from birth to not only be conditioned by this, but we unknowingly pass the same form from generation to generation. Please join me in this podcast as we touch base on some scenarios that have crossed my mind. You can also find this and my other podcasts on my Podbean Channel and/or my YouTube Channel @ dee let me clear my throat.

    The Invisible Self-Harmer

When asked what your definition of a self-harmer is, what would be the first thing that comes to your mind? Would you think that they were someone that either cut, burnt, picked or would physically harm themselves? In this episode, we go over different thoughts and views of this subject. You might just find yourself a victim as an invisible self-harmer. Suicide - The Biggest Reality Check

There are many levels of emotions. However, the level of pain that engulfs a person can be deadly. In this episode, I go over my own personal experiences and triggers regarding my journey as a suicidal and self-harm victim survivor. I also touch on some coping skills that have worked for me. Statistics are not accurate in my opinion regarding suicide, because one is too many! 988 is the suicide prevention helpline (in the United States, check your area resource if out of the US). They have skilled and non-judgmental professionals that can help you. Feel free to also join me in my other episodes on my Podbean channel as well as my YouTube channel @ Dee Let Me Clear My Throat

Help Me, Don't Mock Me - I'm Suicidal

There are different levels of pain. However, the intensity can feel the same. People are different, and the way they process, and cope are also different. There are no right or wrong ways of knowing how to prepare for a level that can turn deadly. Suicide is real, the victims are not actors, they are real live people that need survival in a world feeling no alternative. Most suicidal victims don't want to die, they just want the pain to stop. In this episode, I will go over a variety of feelings and emotions as well as some of my own stories. I will also touch base on how to help. We as a whole, need to give more compassion and understanding and be non-judgmental. There are statistics that try to define the numbers of victims in the world. I, however, believe that ONE IS TO MANY! Please join me in this podcast as well as my others on my Podbean channel, and/or my YouTube channel @ dee let me clear my throat. 988 is the suicide hotline. They have trained and caring people that are skilled to be there for you.

    Society Doesn't Even Know Me

As human beings we struggle with our self-worth and self-esteem as a reflection of our own self-identity. In this episode, I go over my own personal reflection as well as my perception made from what society says is acceptable. Manipulating mankind into believing and feeling that we are more worthy to be ourselves as long as we are not ourselves.
