This week, our youngest son Alex, joins us to talk about spending time in the Disney Tween Club, the Edge. This was Alex’s first time spending time in the Edge aboard the Disney Dream, as he recently turned 11. We give an overview of the age range the Edge is designed for (11-14), how to register your son/daughter, what activities are available in the club, what takes place during the Ice Breakers on the first day (which helps kids get to know each other), how cool the counselors are, and how to find out what’s happening in the club during your sailing. Throughout this show, Alex gives his first hand experiences and thoughts. We are very fortunate to be joined this week by Jordan Caswell, an amazingly talented violinist who is now appearing aboard the Disney Cruise Line ships. In this interview we cover what drew Jordan to playing the violin, how he got his contract with DCL, what it’s like to live and work aboard a Disney Ship, how he develops some of his amazing sets, and what he enjoys about performing live for an audience. 252 Getting back onboard the Disney Fantasy after the Covid shutdown
Frank from Florida joins us this week to discuss getting back onboard a Disney Cruise Ship after the long Covid shutdown. This time, he and Karen set sail aboard the Disney Fantasy, on an 8 night voyage, out of Port Canaveral. It featured stops in Costa Maya, Cozumel, and two stops at Castaway Cay. Good friend of the show, Bryan from Utah, joins us to discuss his family’s experience with the Unlimited Photo Package, which they purchased while onboard the Wonder in October. We discuss the discount available if you purchase it before you sail, where some of the photo locations are located around the ship, covid protocols in place with taking photos onboard the ship, pro’s and con’s as to when you should buy the package, and where to pick your photo’s up before you disembark the ship. 246 Chris and Seth’s sailing to Mexico on the Disney Wonder
Chris and Seth just returned from a four night sailing aboard the Disney Wonder to Mexico, out of San Diego. Chris recounts all their experiences, from driving to San Diego from Los Angeles, the boarding process, his takes on main dining (along with Palo brunch and dinner), spending time on the pool deck, all of their onboard fun (including fireworks, character meet and greets, their Halloween experiences, and creating his masterpiece of Cruella de Vil during the animation class), and of course visiting the amazing port of San Jose del Cabo. This cruise was not without it’s dilemmas, and boy did they have a doozy! Wait till you hear what happened to them, in regards to their stateroom experience. With that said, it’s time to put on your Wilderness Explorer Gear, pack your cruising accessories, and lets get back on the High Seas, we’re off to Mexico with Chris and Seth aboard the Disney Wonder.
