Example: Imagine you have a friend who is famous for being late. You’re meeting at six. At six fifteen, there’s still no sign of them. Then your phone buzzes: “Sorry! Leaving now.” You look at the message and say: “Typical.” You don’t need to explain much more. Their behavior fits the pattern so perfectly that one word says everything.
