Episode 55 - Cyber PATH in focus

In episode 55, Mandy Haebrun-Little is joined by Rachel Lloyd-Moseley, Head of Cyber PATH; Lizzie Young, Cyber PATH Talent Manager; and Rania Hindy, Cyber PATH Technical Adviser, to talk about all things Cyber PATH! Rachel, now two months into her role as Head of Cyber PATH, begins by sharing her obvious enthusiasm and delight at working closely with her team to offer genuine opportunities for students on the programme. She also points out that she is no stranger to working with young people; in her previous role in construction, she worked closely with apprentices and graduates. Indeed, she still mentors and is clearly passionate about encouraging young people to reach their full potential. Rachel also shared her excitement about developing the Team and extending the programme in the coming months. Lizzie Young is also a relatively new addition to the Cyber PATH team; she recently transferred from her role at the Cyber Resilience Centre for the North East. So, she is new to her role as Cyber PATH Talent Manager, but not new to the programme. She also shares her enthusiasm for working closely with the students; she is already amazed by the range of opportunities available to them and looks forward to supporting them in developing their technical and personal skills. Mandy also chats with Rania Hindy, whose excitement about being appointed Technical Supervisor is obvious. Of the three Cyber PATH team members on the podcast, Rania has the most experience with the programme; she started as a Cyber PATH student during her university studies, and she is clearly delighted to supervise the latest cohort and ensure they are fully trained to deliver services to the SME community. The excitement and anticipation are clear; the next round of recruitment begins with two recruitment webinars on 7th October and 12th October, and applications for the programme open on 7 October. It is a fascinating conversation, with each of the three providing excellent insight into their roles and the programme's plans.
