Snake-Handling Preacher Explains the Faith | Pastor Chris Wolford | 200

Serpent handling has been a practice used by many to show their Christian faith, but it has also been stereotyped, mocked, and misunderstood in ways that often erase the people behind it. In this episode, I sit down with Pastor Chris Wolford for nearly two hours to have what may be one of the most extensive conversations about the practice, what it means to him, and why it is so personal for many others. #SerpentHandling #PastorChrisWolford #Creepalachia #AppalachianFaith #WestVirginia Support us at https://patreon.com/Creepalachia Thank you to our Cryptid Supporters! Sleep Paralysis is Terrifying | Jon from Appalachia | 196

Sleep paralysis may be considered a normal thing, but that does not make it any less terrifying to think about. Jon From Appalachia joined the studio to talk about how sleep paralysis has affected his life, and from there, the conversation opened up into some deep talks about life, death, fear, and the things we still do not fully understand. This one is creepy, personal, and fascinating in all the ways a Creepalachia episode should be. The Haunting True Stories of Booger Hole | Cindy Curry | 193

Cindy Curry started working on a project back in the 90s with one goal in mind: gathering every story of Booger Hole, West Virginia she could possibly find. I was lucky enough to get ahold of her and bring her into the studio to talk about those stories, the process of preserving them, and why this conversation is fun, creepy, scary, and worst of all, true.
