    Conversation Street Episode 119

On this week's early edition of the podcast, we chat about the episodes of Coronation Street broadcast in the UK between the 20th and the 22nd October. Peter's fate has finally been decided. ITV did an excellent job at keeping the outcome a secret, but what did we make of the jury's decision? Meanwhile, as Liz and Steve cut Jim out of their lives forever, Fiz and Chesney are forced to welcome a face from the past back into theirs. In the Kabin, there's some great news about the old set tour, then in the feedback section, we discuss how Corrie will cope without Deirdre. Our character profile this week is, of course, the brilliant Cilla Battersby-Brown, then stay 'til the end for a Kabin Extra, where we share our thoughts on even more returning characters, who'll be hitting the cobbles next year.

Meanwhile, Todd dips his toes into the world of retail when a new job opportunity arises, Roy rolls up his trousers and goes for a paddle in Blackpool, and Luke makes a splash with Audrey. In the Kabin segment, Gemma's mouth is watering at the sound of Jennie McAlpine's new business venture, then in the feedback section, we hear from a listener for whom Yasmeen Nazir has been a bit of a damp squib. Our character profile this week is Weatherfield's proverbial bad penny, Terry Duckworth.

    Conversation Street Episode 117

This week on the podcast, we talk about the episode of Coronation Street shown in the UK between the 6th and the 10th October. Steve's feeling a bit down this week - is he making a mountain out of a mole(hill), or is there a more serious problem underneath? Elsewhere, Kylie finds it hard to resist temptation, and as Peter's trial gets ever nearer, Deirdre is feeling a trifle stressed. As we're feeling a bit under the weather this week, we didn't have time to put together a character profile, but we still manage to round off the podcast with some feedback and a few bits of Corrie news - including a preview of a cool Halloween event being organised at the Coronation Street set tour.

Following his time in hospital, Peter's back in the Big House, making an enemy out of Jim after blabbing to Tracy about his booze supply. We're not sure how the Landlord will be getting his revenge just yet, but we're sure it'll be a tad worse than the fruit-related naughtiness that Todd gets up to this week in an attempt to get back at Tony. Meanwhile, as Neil's Atomic Kitten irritates Andrea, a stowaway Eccles gets up Tim's nose at Number 4. In the news section, we find out which Corrie star will be appearing in this year's Christmas Doctor Who, and we round off the show with a couple of emails. In the week of the Scottish referendum, our character profile is on classic Corrie bad guy and haggis muncher, Tony Gordon.

    Conversation Street Episode 108

On the latest podcast, we talk about the episodes of Corrie broadcast in the UK between the 1st and the 8th August, so we do. This week saw the return of two old favourites to the show: first off, Ken's back from Canada and is outraged to discover that Peter's been banged up on suspicion of Tina's murder. It's just a relief that he didn't bump into Roy at all, as the news of Weatherfield Library going up in flames probably would have finished him off! This week also saw the return of Jim McDonald - desperate times have called for desperate measures for Peter, and it seems like The Landlord has got just the 'measures' that he needs... As we're still feeling francophile after our recent holiday across the Channel, instead of a character profile this week, we look back at Corrie's links with France.
