Corrie Behind Bars - Episode 472
With Faye and Harvey currently detained at her majesty's pleasure and Johnny freshly released, this week's bonus podcast focuses on the times when Corrie has gone behind bars. For such a small community, Coronation Street has had a fair few of its residents banged up over the years - from the miscarriages of justice like Deirdre's time inside in 1998 to the well deserved sentences like Tracy's somewhat short stay in the slammer when she murdered Charlie Stubbs. On our latest podcast, we chat about the episodes of Corrie broadcast in the UK between the 18th and the 22nd May (Episodes #10327 - 10332). Ooh, Michael was proper fewmin' at Corrie this week. Not since that time Dennis Tanner flounced off with Gloria Price has a scene made him as mad as he got when the powers that be decided to have Jenny roger the lodger on Monday, so if you like a good rant on the podcast, this episode could be right up your street! Then of course, you've got Sharon's attempts to message Simon on Aadi's knock-off games console that it looks like he got down Weatherfield market, Cathy's inexplicably long stay at number 6, Daisy being a massive cow-bag in both the Jenny and Sean stories... As one of Alina's Generation Z wall quotes would probably say: SMH. But we still love Corrie, though, which is why we're very much excited at the prospect of the AirBnB competition that's running next week that will give one lucky pair the chance to spend the night in a specially built pop-up hotel on the cobbles, which we chat about in the news segment. On our latest podcast, we chat about the episodes of Coronation Street broadcast in the UK between the 10th and the 15th May 2021 (Episodes #10321 - 10326). In the aftermath of the attack on Seb and Nina, we're pleased to say Corrie managed to keep up the high bar set by last week's shocking episodes. Although we thought the reasons for the police believing Corey over Kelly were a bit iffy, the big question this week is exactly how much *was* young Miss Neelan involved in the incident - and even if she's telling the truth and didn't join in with the kicking, what consequences does she deserve? With more superb performances from the likes of Sally Carman, Millie Gibson and Mollie Gallagher this week, we were thoroughly gripped, and can't wait to see where Corrie's biggest story of the year goes next. Conversation Street Episode 469
On this week's podcast, we talk about the episodes of Corrie shown in the UK between the 3rd and the 7th May (Episodes #10315 - 10320). What a week that was, eh? There'd been rumblings and rumours for a fair few months that something big was going to go down with the Street's younger residents, and this week saw Seb and Nina set upon by Corey and his mates in scenes that echoed the vicious attack on Sophie Lancaster in Salford in 2007. With every actor pulling out the stops to deliver some of Corrie's most compelling episodes in a long while, this was a week that was, at times, quite difficult to watch - let alone record a podcast about! - but ultimately one that will be remembered for years to come and will no doubt be the catalyst for some big story and character developments as we go through 2021 and beyond. After a bumper edition of Street Talk where we're left reeling from those final moments in the hospital, we head on over to The Kabin to share the happy news of Brooke Vincent's new addition to the family as well as Corrie's nominees in this year's TV Choice Awards. Seb Franklin Character Profile - Episode 469
For our bonus podcast this week, we do a character profile of Seb Franklin. Arriving on the Street back in 2016 as the scallywag boyfriend of Faye Windass, Seb soon took to the hearts of many a Corrie viewer after the reveal of his tough home life. A key player in the downfall of Pat Phelan, an initial suspect in the Underworld roof collapse and the hero who rescued Alina from slavery, Seb's had quite an eventful time on the cobbles, but it's surely his most recent story, in which he's violently attacked whilst walking home, that he'll ultimately be remembered.

Conversation Street Episode 467
On our latest podcast, we chat about the episodes of Corrie shown in the UK between the 19th and the 23rd April (Episodes #10303 - 103308). After what's felt like a fairly long period of relatively 'meh' Coronation Street, we were both very pleased (and more than a little relieved) to get a set of episodes that we both thought were largely very strong this week. We'd been looking forward to Sharon Bentley's return ever since it was announced last month, and her reunion with Rita and showdown with Jenny certainly didn't disappoint. Also on the Street this week, Fiz realises it really is all over between her and Tyrone, Aadi earns a cheer and an extra bag of luxury crisps from us when he lamps Corey, and Seb and Nina become the show's most most unexpectedly adorable couple. Aside from a few announcements of a handful of ex-Corrie stars' upcoming projects, there's not a whole lot of news this week, so we end up filling most of The Kabin with a couple of bits of podcast news for a change, then we round off the show with more of your listener feedback. There's a lot to fit in this podcast, what with last Friday's Corries being delayed, and we start off our epic Street Talk segment by chatting about Peter Barlow's various woes of the week. Whether it's discovering that he may never see his son again, having his family bicker during a meeting to find out whether he's suitable for a liver transplant or ending Friday by face planting onto the cobbles in a shower of confetti, it's fair to say that Peter's had better weeks, but hey - he managed to fit in his sixth wedding too, so it could be worse. Also having a rough time this week is poor Cathy, who takes a cue from Leanne and goes into hiding to get away from her online tormentors - let's just hope for Leanne's sake she's done a better job of keeping her hideout from Harvey a bit of a better secret. Meanwhile, Tyrone's behaviour leaves us fuming, George's attempt at the old 'give your date a bunch of flowers swiped from a dead person' trick fails spectacularly, and James does a #ClassicCorrieFakeout on Michael - though someone should probably tell him it's best suited for driving tests and GCSE results than potentially life-altering paternity test news.. Like many of us, actress Georgia Taylor has been wallowing in nostalgia with some of the episodes from the late 90s recently, so we thought it would be fun to have a chat with her about what it's been like revisiting some of the Battersbys' early days from January 1998. On our latest podcast, we chat about the goings on in Weatherfield between the 29th March and the 2nd April (Episodes #10285 - 10290) This week's episodes were dominated by the big Billy, Todd and Paul love triangle, which we're sure must have been pretty engaging if you're invested in any of the possible pairings - alas, we don't think any of the outcomes have any real potential, and this week's developments mostly just served to deepen our growing disdain for both Paul and Billy. Todd, at least, remains interesting to watch due to his excellent ability to conceal his true feelings and motivations, and colour us intrigued by his hiring at George's new funeral parlour on Friday's episode too! Also this week, Michael reels from the news of Ronnie's past relationship with Aggie, neither Ty nor Fiz can get Alina out of their heads, and Faye contemplates a year in prison (seriously, would any viewers even notice if she was gone?) On our latest podcast, we share our thoughts on the batch of Corrie eps that hit our screens between the 15th and the 19th March (Episodes #10273 - 10278). Now this isn't something you hear very often, but this week it was the Bailey family who took centre stage, as Michael becomes a father ten weeks early than he was expecting, and Ed becomes a grandfather... or does he? Yep, it looks like that history between Ronnie and Aggie that we all saw coming a mile off really did happen, which means that Michael may not even be Ed's biological son after all!
