    197. US Imperialism Bad, Iran Regime Also Bad: An Open Letter From The “Left”

Dr. Behrooz Ghamari-Tabrizi, himself a former political prisoner, models what a letter of solidarity written to Iranian political prisoners might look like: https://www.jadaliyya.com/Details/47613/An-Alternative-Open-Letter-to-Iran%E2%80%99s-Political-Prisoners I'd say subscribe to https://www.rfemedia.com/ for the full episode but we forgot to get to Dr. Ghamari-Tabrizi's solidarity letter until the very end. So enjoy the full episode for free! Our argument is not a new one: that western intellectuals who purport to be anti-imperialist often do the work of imperialism by bothsidesing human rights abuses and war crimes, thereby manufacturing consent or at least fostering an information atmosphere of moral confusion so people find it challenging to pick a side. This directly aids and abets both Imperialism and the War State. Enjoy!

    194. Averting Apocalypse: Taking on Climate Collapse in a Hopeful Way w/ Michael Mezzatesta

Get the full episode with no ads at: https://www.rfemedia.com/ We really have to talk about climate catastrophe in an non-apocalyptic way in order to get people productively on-side. Besides, there's plenty to be done. The horrifying research I did for this episode might turn me into an environmental activist from a geopolitical position - things are going to get wild. States will collapse, wars will happen. Gone will be the days of carrier strike groups or even drones as global supply chains break down and all the evangelicals will be euphoric seeing that the end is nigh. There are going to crisis cults popping up everywhere - UFO cults, AI machine god cults - 4 billion people could die in the 25-30 years, and the bottomline is that we here at RFEmedia will still be transmitting this podcast and our Thursday livestream, if we live, from the Great Lakes region of the continental United States. Today we are joined by friend of the show, Michael Mezzatesta, a storyteller working at the intersection of economics, climate, and culture. His work reaches tens of millions of viewers each month and is recognized for making complex economic and climate issues accessible to a mainstream audience. He has an economics degree from Standoff university and champions a post-capitalist world. He is the host of the Better Future Podcast, the links for which are in the description. Cheers y’all! https://betterfuturemedia.substack.com/podcast

    192. Out of Ideas, Pentagon Crowd-Sources Iran War Planning to Troops: Live Q&A w/ Greg Stoker

Subscribe to https://www.rfemedia.com/ for exclusive content and updates. It’s been about a 8 months since I have done any sort of military analysis on my platform because it not exactly the best mental health exercise and two and half years of posting everyday was exhausting, but times have changed. I’m getting back into it because things are escalating and the dynamics of modern warfare are changing faster than a lot of people, definitely military commanders in the Pentagon, can keep up with. Also, other conflicts are poised to pop off across the globe. There is also a fascinating lack of acceptance that warfare has been democratized against Imperial military elements like carrier strike groups and large, hard-site military bases, which can now be threatened across vast distances by relatively simple and cheap munitions. Also we really don’t have those because our defense industrial base is about making money, not about force-readiness. So the pentagon is now crowd sourcing to troops for innovative ideas to regain the initiative against Iran while being actively hamstrung by Data center vulnerability in the Gulf. Its tricky. Some Americans may cheer on Iran blowing up Amazon, Google, Microsoft, Nvidia and Palantir tech targets in Saudi Arabia and other GCC states due to their massive unpopularity here at home. Some people might get ideas. The information dimensions of this conflict are uncontrollable too so check out our Colonial Outcasts live stream episode about all of this tonight at 5pm EST on YouTube or our primary Platform, Substack. 190. Why Are Tech Billionaires Moving to Argentina? w/ Marianela Pereyra

Check out https://www.rfemedia.com/ for the add-free episode. Yes, you can subscribe for free and get ZERO ads. They are moving due to: libertarian leadership, sovereign diversification, and geographic isolation. They fear global systemic collapse, and don't believe in borders or nation states like us peasants. We start today’s episode with some negligible Argentine world cup controversy, then move onto its idiotically colorful anarcho-capitalist president, Javier Milei and his notorious allegiances to both the state of Israel and trans-national tech billionaires like Peter Thiel. The US government wants to use the right-wing government of Argentina to serve as a mini Israel in the region - a bulwark against any left-wing movements in Latin America in order to bring it under the complete influence of the US and Israel. This is a complicated subject, but this initiative is founded on what are called the “Isaac Accords,” which are modeled after the Israeli normalization deal, the Abraham Accords, meant to establish US/Israeli hegemony over all the governments of West Asia. The core question here though, is “why are billionaires moving to Argentina?” Very excited for this episode, we’ve got a great guest and a lot to cover. 188. War and Women, Life, Freedom: Interpreting Iran in the Media w/ Sarah In Tehran

The Imperial Media wants you to believe that Iranian society is a binary - either the people all yearn for freedom and regime change, or they are all religious fanatics shouting "death to America!" We do not trade in binaries around here. It is time that we speak to someone who actually lives there and understands the Western Media Apparatus. To that end we are joined by Sarah In Tehran, a media studies graduate who works in documentary film, to discuss rabid zionist monarchists and the media bias they promote, what the conversations in Iran are, and what actually happened with the Women, Life, Freedom movement in 2022. The amount of imperial propaganda being pumped into Iran by outlets like Iran International is truly prodigious and clearly resembles the Radio Free cold war model. 187. Elite Panic: New Political Terrorism Watchlist Drops, Are You On It?

Check us out on https://www.rfemedia.com/ for so much more! It is Wednesday and we’ve got a heck of a show here for ya! Something just happened exactly like we said it would last November when the State Department designated “Antifa-linked groups” in Europe as Foreign Terrorist Organizations. We said it would come back home and be used as a pretext to silence, delegitimize, debunk, and prosecute us or anyone else who challenges the oligarchic power that controls the state. We also discuss the State Departments “Cuba Report,” which has a two-fold purpose: to delegitimize progressives of all stripes as part of a hostile foreign influence network, cut back on freedom of speech and of the press, and to justify the expansion of the national security state. The other purpose is to justify regime change in Cuba with the prospect of direct military intervention. This entire document is a confounding slurry of distorted history and absurd conspiracy theories. It is meant to gin up and invent the reality of enemies within and without while asserting that all of these enemies are connected. However, we know the truth. 186. Operation Eternal Darkness: Militarism and AI Targeting in a Post-Accountability World

Hello and Welcome to colonial outcasts the anti-imperialist podcast that examines systems of coercion, violence, and exploitation and not vibes. We are sick of everyone doing vibes based-analyses like Kamala Harris’s potential 2028 presidential campaign team who thinks that she just needs to get in with Mamdani and all the top-cop blood on her hands will be washed away. As the Iran war distance conflict resumes and the South of Lebanon continues to experience an entrenchment of occupation - we can also directly connect everything that’s happening here in the Imperial Core, data centers, the expanding national security and surveillance state, anti-tech radicalism, to all violence being enacted overseas. Because we are adults who are adult enough to face uncomfortable truth’s, namely “that it can absolutely happen here and is happening here. You remember how ICE has instituted “free speech zones” outside of their detention center at Delaney Hall in New Jersey? There is no basis in law for them to actually do this. But still, they’re doing it, just like Israel is, in contravention of all international law, creating pilot zones in the south of Lebanon. Facists love Zones. Every single type of zone except autonomous zones. And We are returning now to West Asia. Today we are joined by Janet Abou-Elias, a researcher at the Democratizing Foreign Policy Project at the Quincy Institute for Responsible Statecraft and a co-founder of Women for Weapons Trade Transparency. Her work focuses on U.S. law and foreign policy, emerging technologies, and U.S. arms sales. https://x.com/Janetabouelias

    184. The Death of Lindsey Graham- There is No Red or Blue, Only Imperial Purple

Check out https://www.rfemedia.com/ for exclusive content (Substack). Paywall is not active yet! When things get desperate enough for the Working Class, Democrats are allowed to pass social welfare programs as a counter revolutionary pressure release valve like the proposed one-time billionaire wealth tax in California. It is the reformist illusion of progress while eventually, as the national security state solidifies itself and hunter killer AI packages have work their way into the drones of your local police department, there will be no more social programs. Social Security will expire, most homes, agricultural lands, natural resources will be monopolized by private equity which donates equally to both parties, and there will never, ever be universal basic income. But hey, at least you voted for the “lesser of two evils” and you can blame those independent swine for not voting “blue no matter who” and destroying your future. But the horrifying truth is that there is no red or blue - only imperial purple and you, peasant, do not wear the purple - only the caesars, our modern day billionaires and captains of industry. So we are going to talk about this most recent round of ICE killings, the revamped war with Iran, Lindsey Graham as a locus for examining how red and blue loves each other, the Imperial Boomerang theory for you newcomers, and the origin of policing as a counter insurgency force. There is no daylight between the for profit police state, and the for profit war state. And as always, we talk about what is to be done!#imperialboomerang #breakingnews #lindseygraham #dnc

    183. Graham Platner: How We Refuse to Learn Simple Lessons

Check us out at https://www.rfemedia.com/ Imperialism is a primary contradiction, so let’s talk about it because no one is addressing the veteran angle in a critical way . Platner's defenders have been using his self-celebrated service record and the combat PTSD excuse in order to explain away bad behavior, alcohol abuse, and a failure to come to terms with the true cost of the Global War on Terror. I think if some of us were more politically disciplined a bunch of people would not have been side-swiped by this recent credible allegations. It’s just me today for this episode, everyone else is on summer break so I’m stuck having to talk about Platner, about what military service truly means in all its violence and why I currently do not trust a single veteran in office or a single one who is running, and why placing your faith in singular movement leaders to usher in the revolution and turn the electoral college and this whole franchise around is never going to cut it. We might talk about Cesar Chavez, since it’s somewhat apropos.

    182. Patriot Front Marches on DC: This is the Price of Tolerance w/ Zue Jernstedt

Check out the full episode for free at" https://www.rfemedia.com/ We are not the tolerant left, and we finally need to talk about how influencers in the Palestine Movement support the ideology of White Christian Nationalism, tokenizing Palestinian identity in order to avoid accountability for inherently violent and racist beliefs. Some of you may know who they are, though we're not calling anyone out specifically at this time. In this episode we discuss: The Paradox of Tolerance, how this Veterans Against Fascism march was organized, how it was materially and structurally different from the literal performative Patriot Front march, and how we build momentum and community going forward. To that end, we are joined by Zue Jernstedt - field organizer with About Face: Veterans Against the war, and International Solidarity Member doing protective presence in the West Bank. She was also on the Global Sumud Flotilla with me. We burnt out and pissed off, but hope you enjoy the episode! 181. How Military Culture Has Infected American "Manhood" w/ Jasper Craven

I am third generation United States Army, so there was heavy childhood indoctrination in my family. You weren’t a man until you served in a combat unit. In a culture where older rights of passage have been abandoned or intentionally erased, all in service of the imperial machine, there is one coming of age ritual universally available to young men in America - the military. This episode demonstrates how that is bad for literally everyone on the planet. We are joined byJasper Craven is an award-winning investigative journalist covering the U.S. military, veterans' issues, and the American educational complex. He is the author of the critically acclaimed book God Forgives, Brothers Don’t, which will be discussed here today, and a frequent contributor to major national publications. His investigative reporting on the military has appeared in The New York Times, The New Republic, Harper's Magazine, Politico, The Baffler, and The Intercept. There is No Master Plan: Is the US Playing 1D Chess to Maintain the Petro-Dollar?

In this episode of Colonial Outcasts, we’re joined by Elina Xenophontos to break down one of the biggest narratives circulating right now: that the United States is executing some kind of grand strategy to preserve the petro-dollar through global energy blockades, military escalation, and economic warfare. We’re here to challenge that idea. From the escalating tensions with Iran to the deployment of additional carrier strike groups, the so-called “blockade,” and ongoing threats of further military action, we take a hard look at what’s actually happening—and whether any of it resembles a coherent long-term plan.Is this 4D chess… or something much simpler? We discuss:The reality behind the US “blockade” of Iran Why the petro-dollar “master plan” theory doesn’t hold up Military escalation and contradictions in US strategy The role of chaos, miscalculation, and short-term decision making How online narratives can overestimate state competence If you’ve been hearing that everything is part of a carefully orchestrated imperial strategy—this episode is for you.

This, combined with the revelations coming out of the Epstein files, has set the stage for a level of global solidarity against a common enemy that we have never seen.Iran and Lebanon have shifted the power dynamics through their strategic operations and messaging to the world and in doing so have opened the floodgates of resistance in the region that united Sunni, Shia, Christian and secular, despite the Wahabi and sectarian psyops working overtime to divide. War Abroad, Division at Home—Can Anyone Be Reached Before the End Times? (w/ Dr. Hilary Agro)

This week felt like a turning point. While most headlines focus on rising tensions with Iran and the possibility of wider conflict, a series of U.S. military operations—reportedly including “Operation Epic Fury” and “Operation Total Extermination”—are expanding across multiple regions with barely any public scrutiny. From strikes in the Caribbean to escalating actions near the Colombia–Ecuador border, the scope of what’s happening right now is bigger than most people realize. At the same time, we’re watching the national security state expand at home—ICE presence in airports, increasing surveillance, and political rhetoric that feels more extreme by the day. And somehow, we’re told all of this is for our benefit. Then we’re joined by Dr. Hilary Agro—anthropologist, organizer, and abolitionist educator—to tackle a question that feels more urgent than ever:Can people with harmful or contradictory political beliefs actually change? We talk about:- Why organizing the working class means engaging with people you disagree with- The psychology of political identity and belief formation- Why some people are open to change—and others aren’t- The challenges of bridging divides in an era of polarization- What it actually takes to build movements rooted in collective care and liberationIf we’re serious about building a better world, we have to figure out how to reach people—not just write them off.
