Why Does AI-Generated Code Fail Under Thread Contention?

transcript
show notes
AI assistants produce concurrent code that looks right. The locks, the async/await and the 'thread-safe' comments are all there, and the code passes every test you run on a laptop with one user. The trouble is that correctness under contention is a property of timing, interleaving and shared state across the whole system, and the model cannot see any of that from inside a single file. This episode looks at why AI-written concurrency code earns confidence it has not been tested for, and at what builders have to own before it hits real load.
