Today, I'm joined by Brently and Marybeth, the hosts of BBB Adventures. I've been following Brently and Marybeth on social media several years ago while watching RAGBRI content. They have established a steadily growing following of supporters as they continue to share their journey and entertaining adventures.     Chiln Outdoors: EP 5. Hunter Leavine - Captains Collective

    Welcome back to the Chil'n Outdoor podcast. On this episode, we're joined by Hunter Leavine from the Captains Collective. I have been listening to Hunter's podcast for several years and have truly enjoyed his perspectives and philosophy on life, the outdoors, and conservation. During our conversation, as we delved into hunters' perspective of being on the water and conservation, I noticed it paralleled some of my own principles but also made me think about how I view things on and off the water. We also touch on consumerism and its implications on our lives and in the outdoors. We also discuss travel fishing, what it takes to be a guide, social media, self-fulfillment, overcoming burnout, and our perspectives on writing. It took me a while to edit this, and I kept going back to review this episode before releasing it. There was a lot to think about and take in. I had to listen to it several times to digest our conversation. Thank you again for joining me, Hunter. I enjoyed our conversation, and I hope you will join me again. You can catch him camping on paddleboards, using skiffs, and taking his famous C-Dory on weekend-long excursions. He also documents his current work and travels on various luxury yachts. Trip is well known throughout many adventure, skiff, and C-Dory communities online. His experiences and watercraft have inspired countless others, often setting a standard that many have followed. During our conversation, Trip shares how his adventures inspired him to create content. We also discuss some of his boats, explore captivating destinations, and talk about how he maintains fitness while traveling. Additionally, we delve into how he defines success, which leads to a broader discussion about our own journeys and how we work toward achieving success based on our individual definitions.     Chil'n Outdoors: EP. 3 Capt. Hunter Brasington - Bounty Hunter Expeditions

    Welcome back to the Chil'n Outdoors podcast! In this Episode, we feature Captain Hunter Brasington, who graciously joined us to share his advice on DIY tarpon fishing and etiquette on the water. Hunter offers valuable insights on budget friendly tarpon setups as well as high-end options. He is also an expert in fly fishing and showcases a couple of tarpon flies he personally uses. Additionally, Hunter explains how his education at the University of Florida has shaped his career path in guiding. Hunters' take on ethics and conservation align with my own thoughts as we strive to maintain and improve the fishery we have inherited and to preserve it for future generations. A few days after recording this podcast, I had the opportunity to meet with Hunter. He has become a well known figure in the fishing community and has made many friends throughout his journey of guiding. I'm looking forward to fishing with Hunter soon!     Today, I'm joined by Pete Kaple, the host of the Skiff Wanderer YouTube channel and podcast. Pete has a fascinating story. Pursuing his passions for photography and fishing, he transitioned from merchant mariner to content creator and fishing guide. Additionally, Pete embodies the entrepreneurial spirit through his various ventures, including KP Laser Works and Reel Fishing Roasters. Initially, I was hesitant to invite Pete early on the show's run, debating whether to hold off until later, when things would be more polished. However, I was thrilled when he accepted the invite. Pete shared a wealth of knowledge from his philosophy and ethics on the water, to tips for catching Texas redfish, and insights on finding the balance of perfection.

    Chil'n Outdoors: EP. 1 Anthony Caputo - The Skiff Guy

    On this episode of "Chil'n Outdoors," I speak with Anthony Caputo, also known as The Skiff Guy on YouTube. Anthony began his channel by working on skiffs in his garage and has since expanded to running a shop in Jacksonville called Skiffland, which has since become Skiffland Boatworks, where he takes on larger, more intricate projects. Anthony has also created a community for his followers, both online and at Skiffland. During our conversation, Anthony shares how he maintains a work-life balance while navigating content creation, family responsibilities, and his diagnosis of heart failure. He catalogs daily vlogs for entertainment and to share experiences with his family. Additionally, we gain insight into what he looks for when purchasing a skiff or a truck. Be sure to check out his channel, as he often posts listings of deals he finds. Anthony reminds us to slow down and enjoy what's around us. Life is not always easy, but making sure it doesn't pass us by is vital. I want to thank Anthony again for being on the podcast.
