Episode 6: Anthony Dragun, Class of 2016

The path from oil and gas to neurosurgery is not for the faint of heart, and Dr. Anthony Dragun explains why he made that leap, what residency really demands, and why purpose matters more than prestige. Dragun, a 2016 Trinity graduate, traces his route from UT Austin chemical engineering and a year at ExxonMobil to medical school at UT Southwestern and a seven-year neurosurgery residency in Indianapolis. Along the way, he shares the mindset shift that took him from a desk job he knew wouldn't fit to a career where every day carries real weight and real gratitude. You'll hear how surgery gives him perspective on what most people take for granted, why the TV show The Pitt feels too real to enjoy casually, and what life looks like with a wife, a baby on the way, and years still ahead in training. He also reflects on the Trinity habits that still shape him today - from chapel and small class sizes to the accountability, confidence, and soft skills that mattered long after graduation.

Episode 4: Wellness Directors Christen Timmons and Jessi Morgan

School counselors Christen Timmons and Jessi Morgan share the simple, practical skills that help children move from overwhelmed to capable—and why the small stuff matters long before the big stuff hits. Christen, a lower school counselor, and Jessi, who supports middle and upper school students, bring two different perspectives on the same urgent question: how do we help kids handle stress without rescuing them from every hard moment? Their answers are refreshingly specific, from noticing new patterns in sleep, appetite, and school function to teaching children to name what they feel and use coping tools that actually work. Don't miss our parent event with Capable book author David Thomas on Thursday, September 24 at 6:00 pm in the Commons!

    Episode 3: Hank Cunningham

Director of Athletics Hank Cunningham, a former Trinity student and current Trinity dad, shares the vision behind the Trinity athletics program - and why it matters far beyond the scoreboard. Hank opens up about what he hopes people say years from now, the core values driving Trinity Athletics, and how those values are showing up in everything from fight song traditions to the way students carry themselves on campus. He also talks candidly about the responsibility of leading a program he once lived as a student-athlete, and why that perspective shapes every decision he makes. You'll hear stories about the Trinity teachers and coaches who shaped him, the traditions he loves most, and the moments that made him realize coming back to Trinity was about more than a job.
