Protesters stormed a news conference in Madison, Wisconsin, after a police officer shot and killed a man with a knife while resisting arrest on Wednesday. In total, four officers were involved or witnessed the shooting and have been put on leave. Body cameras were not on the officers. A suspect is in custody after two people were stabbed on Manhattan's Upper West Side, police say. The victims — one Asian and one Jewish — are both expected to survive as investigators work to determine a motive. Federal health officials have identified a new cyclospora outbreak stemming from an unspecified product. The FDA said the source of the outbreak was "not yet identified."

Federal health officials say iceberg lettuce grown by Taylor Farms in central Mexico has been linked to this summer's Cyclospora outbreak. Health Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. said last year's budget cuts had no impact on the outbreak or investigation as questions continue over the federal response.
