    Rey Rivera - Unsolved Mystery

This is the fascinating case of Rey Rivera, one of the most talked about unsolved mysteries of recent years. Carrie and Lauren discuss, speculate and conclude about what happened to the 32 year old finance writer, who on the surface couldn't of been happier or more contented with his life. Suddenly one day in May 2006 he left his house and disappeared. A week later his body was discovered in very unusual circumstances, and although the medical examiners verdict was undetermined with the police ruling it probable death by suicide, his friends and family are all adamant that he wasn't suicidal and that there were a lot of unanswered questions surrounding his death including a stray flip flop and discarded watch. Have a listen and see what you think. The Stanford Prison Experiment

This week Carrie chooses our subject and it is one of the most famous examples of a science experiment going wrong. In the 1970's a Psychology professor at California's Stanford University spent one summer carrying out an experiment into the study of authority. 20 volunteers were paid to play the parts of prisoners and guards and were randomly separated into these two roles. Within a couple of days the experiment had gone very dark as the 'guards' began to take punishments too far and 'prisoners' began to feel the experience was all too real. All in the space of six days the experiment was shut down and as the results began to leak out into the public domain, quickly became infamous. The Vietnamese 39 Lorry Deaths

This episode is brought to you by Carrie. This is the case of the poor souls who set out on a voyage from the continent to the UK for a better life back in October 2019 and didn't make it alive. In fact their transport became their tomb. This was a case that shocked and horrified the country, and brought to our attention the evil of the people smugglers and the callous nature of their wicked trade. How they prey on the hopes and dreams of innocent people with little regard for health or safety, and how easily people can suffocate to death on the treacherous journey. Support the show! Jill Dando

Back in 1999 Jill was a firm TV favourite appearing on many high profile BBC programmes, but most notably as one of the presenters of Crimewatch. The country was in shock when, on the morning of the 26th April 1999 the news came through that Jill had been shot dead on her doorstep. Having no leads the police did a re-enactment the following week on Crimewatch and after a year a man called Barry George was arrested and sent to prison for the murder. Following a re-trial 8 years later, Mr George was acquitted and released and there the case remains to this day, unsolved. Support the show! Danielle Jones

On the morning of the 18th of June 2001, 15-year-old Danielle Jones left her house in Essex to go to school and never returned. After an extensive investigation all evidence pointed at one man - Dannielle's uncle, Stuart Campbell. He was eventually convicted of her murder and even to this day withholds the vital piece of information that would bring some peace to her family - where he left Danielle's body. Carrie and Lauren take a deep dive into this heart-breaking case and ask - should anyone ever be considered for parole when they still deny the crime and refuse to divulge where the body of their victim is? Pavlovs Dogs and Louise Ogborn

This episode is brought to you lovely people by Carrie. It is kind of a mind control episode as it covers the famous Pavlovian experiment - fascinating stuff, about the scientist who measured the triggered responses of his dogs to various stimulus. This is followed by the case of the young McDonald's employee, Louise Ogborn, who at the age of 18 suffered a 4 hour ordeal at the hands of an anonymous 'police officer Scott' who instructed, by phone the adults around her to carry out the most unimaginable crimes. S7 Ep .4 Ed Kemper - The Co-Ed Killer

This week's case is the infamous case of Edmund Kemper, the Co-Ed Killer. Brought to by your girls Carrie and Lozza, Ed Kemper was a serial killer who was convicted of murdering seven women and one girl between May 1972 and April 1973. However this wasn't Kemper's first murder spree as years earlier, at the age of just 15, Kemper had murdered his grandparents and sent to an adult psychiatric hospital where he honed his skills as a master manipulator, managing to get released on his 21st birthday. Believing Kemper was fully rehabilitated and no longer a danger to himself or others he was free to roam the streets of Santa Cruz, picking up hitch hikers, trying to push down the his homicidal feelings until one day it became too much. For almost a year he stalked and terrorised the area, especially the young female students of the nearby colleges. Who knows how long he would have got away with it if he hadn't of handed himself in to the police. Kemper is still alive today and has been studied by many law enforcement and psychiatric professionals, assisting with offender profiling for the FBI. We hope you enjoy our show and that we manage to bring some little known facts to this famous case.
