Welcome to the Before Baby Podcast.

My name is Lilli. I’m a hypnotherapist by day, and currently in my own “before baby” season of life. Over on TikTok, I’ve been sharing some of the emotional work I’m doing before my husband and I start trying for a baby.

Through my work as a hypnotherapist, I’ve seen how deeply our early experiences shape us. It made me curious about the parts of myself I might want to understand a little better before stepping into motherhood.

This podcast isn’t about becoming perfect, and it’s definitely not about getting everything right. Every parent influences their child in different ways, and that’s simply part of being human. For me, this journey is just about approaching this next chapter of life with a little more self-awareness, honesty, and care.

In this podcast, I’ll be sharing reflections from this season - the emotional work, the questions I’m sitting with, and what I’m learning along the way as I prepare for motherhood.

Trying to conceive: fear of the unknown!

Welcome to the very first episode of the Before Baby Podcast! Becoming me, before I become a mum... My name is Lilli, I'm a Certified Hypnotherapist and I've spent the last 6 years of my life helping women to overcome anxiety and disordered eating. Now, I'm on my journey to motherhood and putting that focus back on me and the work I need to do on myself before I become a mum. When researching the TTC world, I found that I was really struggling when it came to finding resources of the work we should be doing on ourselves before we even start trying for a baby. There was a lot of information about how to fall pregnant, what supplements to take, what checks to get (all important btw!) but not a lot of information of how to mentally prepare yourself. So I started treating myself as a bit of a guinea pig and started doing the work on myself and sharing it with Tiktok! This podcast is simply an extension of this tiktok series where we'll be doing deeper dives into the topic we've all resonated with!
