Steve is joining us in the studio this morning 史蒂夫今早来到了我们演播室 good morning Steve 早上好，史蒂夫 good morning how are we I'm all grand Steve 早上好，你们好吗？我很好，史蒂夫 we have got a couple nights until bonfire 再过几天就是篝火夜了 what do you as firefighters do to prepare 你们消防员会做哪些准备工作 well just like most nights 嗯，和大多数夜晚一样 but it is a really important night for us 不过篝火夜对我们尤其重要 we make sure that all our equipment is tested 我们确认所有设备都已检测 and it's safe 安全可用 the fire engines are fuelled up, got water in 消防车已加满油、注好水 and everybody's ready 每个人都准备好了 ready to go, working with different communities 随时出发，与各个社区合作 to make sure they're safe 确保他们的安全 I mean on that safety front 说到安全方面 there'll be children who will want to enjoy bonfire 孩子们都想享受篝火 Night how can they do it safely 之夜，怎样才能安全参与呢 yeah we will always say that fireworks 要由成年人点燃烟花 don't go back to a lit firework 不要凑近点燃过的烟花 if you're gonna have sparklers as well 要是你玩仙女棒的话 okay, sparklers are great fun 仙女棒确实很好玩 make sure that you wear gloves 一定要戴好手套 when you're wearing the sparklers 拿仙女棒的时候 we we would say that 我们建议大家 you know 要知道 you shouldn't let children under five use 不要让五岁以下儿童玩 sparklers 仙女棒 and always hold them at arm's length as well 拿着时也要伸直手臂 and don't put them in anybody's faces 不要对着别人的脸 and very quickly for those of us who've got pets 另外养宠物的朋友注意 how can we keep them safe 怎么保护宠物安全呢 yeah it's always a difficult time of the year for 对 Forest is a project that aims to get as many 进森林”项目旨在让尽可能多的 12 and 13 year old school children 12到13岁的在校学生 into the woods as possible 走进森林里 this year 今年 24,000 sixth graders across the country will
