aims of this allotment is to show kids 这块菜地的目的之一是告诉孩子们 how to grow and where their food comes from 怎么种植，食物从哪来 precisely what I found is a lot of kids 我发现很多孩子确实 there is an interesting gardening 对园艺感兴趣 but there's a slight disconnect on 但不太清楚 how do I actually grow things 具体该怎么种 so what are your top tips 那你有什么好建议？ well just start small 先从小处着手就行 you don't have to have an allotment 你不用非得有自留地 you can grow in pots and containers 用花盆和容器也能种 you don't even have to have a garden 你甚至连花园都不用有 things like sunflowers 比如向日葵 they're so easy to grow 特别好种 you just plant the seed in the ground 只要把种子埋进土里 you water it and you wait 浇水然后等着就行 and you're gonna have a wonderful sunflower 就能长出超好看的向日葵 you know it's great for pollinators as well 而且对传粉昆虫也很好 salad leaves are so easy you sort of 沙拉叶也超好种，你只要 sprinkle on a bit of soil 撒一点在土上 and they just come up like cress 就会像水芹一样长出来 and then you just start 之后你就可以 cropping them 采摘它们 eating them 直接吃 putting them in your sandwiches or whatever 或者夹三明治之类的 and if it fails have another go try again 要是种失败了就再试一次 try again you know we've all been there 多试几次，我们都有过这种经历 ah 啊 guys look at my plot now it looks absolutely beautiful 大伙看我这块地现在超漂亮的 I've got new paths 我新修了小径
