    The Seattle Mariners introduced Jason Kanzler as their new manager, joined by president of baseball operations Jerry Dipoto and GM Justin Hollander. Kanzler has never managed before. He's a former minor leaguer who taught high school physics and chemistry in Texas, then worked his way up through the hitting staff and farm system of "the team that shall not be named." Hollander called him Seattle's "white whale," who "dominated the process." Kanzler talks about culture ("What we allow is what we stand for"), accountability, and a brand of baseball "akin to step on their throats." Asked about the Astros rivalry, he says he knows "all their secrets."
