In this 131st episode of Sober Head Podcast, Dr. Esra Çavuşoğlu, PhD welcomes Dr. Vincent Giampapa, MD.
Dr. Vincent Giampapa is an American physician, plastic and reconstructive surgeon, and researcher recognized for his pioneering work in regenerative and anti-aging medicine. A co-founder of the American Academy of Anti-Aging Medicine (A4M), he focuses on stem cell therapies, cellular regeneration, and the biology of aging. Combining medicine and biotechnology, he is widely regarded as one of the leading figures in the field of longevity.
Can we slow down brain aging—or perhaps even reverse it one day? In this episode of SoberHead Podcast, I sit down with Dr. Vincent Giampapa to explore emerging research into brain rejuvenation, cognitive decline, and the future of longevity medicine.
Could stem cells, gene therapy, focused ultrasound, and exosomes help protect the aging brain? We explore their potential role in Alzheimer's disease, Parkinson's disease, memory loss, and cognitive health. We also discuss the hypothalamus, a region of the brain that may play a central role in regulating aging throughout the body.
From epigenetic reprogramming and the Klotho gene to mitochondrial health and regenerative medicine, we examine some of the most promising—and still experimental, approaches to extending brain healthspan.
Can we really reset the brain's biological clock, or are we still at the beginning of understanding how these technologies work?
