Stunt Granny Audio 1196 – AEW All Out, Shoot Promos and Mason Rook

With Chris & Kevin behind the mics, they started on how AEW anti-hyped All Out. By having a good trios match, Chris & Kevin talk about the burn out from quality matches. Not to be out done, your hosts talk about the promos that did highlight their match were not good. To cite a specific example, they talk about the Young Bucks, FTR and Adam Copeland & Christian Cage. Because the Young Bucks teased leaving AEW, Chris & Kevin talk about how AEW’s tag team division has never been pushed. Another problem that your hosts talked about, was the lack of interaction of Jon Moxley and Will Ospreay when they are the main event of All Out. When Chris & Kevin get to NXT, they talk about the Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic giving the show structure. To close the show, Chris & Kevin talk about Mason Rook‘s promo on Grayson Waller. Stunt Granny Audio 1195 – Lemon Pepper Steppers, New Names in MITB & Roman Reigns and LA Knight

With Jeremy & Kevin behind the mics, they started the show talking about American Horror Story and The Walking Dead. When they get to wrestling, they start at the Lemon Pepper Steppers controversy. With LA Knight and Roman Reigns ready to lock horns, your hosts cover a number of related topics. To start with, Jeremy & Kevin talk about the number of banger matches Reigns has put on without Bloodline interference. In related news, your hosts discuss whether the WWE will make Knight their champion. Because the San Antonio crowd was terrible for WWE Raw, Jeremy & Kevin again talk about more wrestling happening outside of the US. Since Gunther hasn’t been able to get into the main event picture on Smackdown, your hosts talk about him having a AAA stint. To close the show, Jeremy & Kevin talk about Myron Reed‘s dangerous bump on AEW Collision. Stunt Granny Audio 1194 – AEW All Out Hype, Will Ospreay & Jon Moxley and NXT Back On Track

Because of the crowd response in Norfolk VA, Chris & Kevin joke that all wrestling events should take place outside of the US. After that commentary, your hosts talk about the good work AEW has done to hype All Out. Even though two matches for the PPV are gimmick matches, Chris & Kevin discuss the brand cutting back on hardcore matches. Because Jon Moxley got promo time, your hosts talk about how good his time has been as Continental Champion. Though there are a lot of tag teams involved with Adam Copeland & Christian Cage, Chris & Kevin talk about the clear path they have to the not TLC match. With Tomasso Ciampa attacking Kazuchika Okada backstage, your hosts talk about minor feuds receiving proper build up for All Out. To close the show, Chris & Kevin talk about the goofiness returning to NXT which is a good thing. Stunt Granny Audio 1193 – Chile, Mexico City, Triplemania and WWE Content

Since Jeremy was watching NXT when they hit record, him & Kevin did give a short preview of the show. With Smackdown, Triplemania and Raw filling the weekend, your hosts started by talking about the crowds in Chile and Mexico City. Because Kevin saw someone post about this being the WWE‘s worst year, him & Jeremy discussed worse Eras during Stunt Granny. When they really started to dig into WWE content, your hosts started at Sami Zayn‘s championship win over CM Punk. Because Roman Reigns took on Penta on Raw, Jeremy & Kevin discussed whether Penta should have won. Since Triplemania was split into two nights, your hosts did their best to review the extra content. Because Corey Graves was struggling on Night Two, your hosts wonder why the WWE didn’t give him Raw off. To close the show, Jeremy & Kevin talk about their continued amazement of how popular El Grande Americano is. Stunt Granny Audio 1192 – Oldies Music, Tear Inducing AEW Dynamite and the Return of the Creeds

With Jeremy & Kevin behind the mics, they start talking about “Oldies” music now being from the 80s. When they get to wrestling, they talk about an eye watering first hour of AEW Dynamite. With the theme of the show being Rebel Heart, Rebel‘s fight with ALS was front and center. Though Rebel was clearly helping the heels in Britt Baker, Persephone and Hikaru Shida, of course the whole crowd cheered. If enough water works hadn’t been set off, the tribute to Andy “The Butcher” Williams kept them going. In the second hour, AEW Dynamite got to standard story lines. In an unexpected turn of events, Jeremy & Kevin enjoyed Will Ospreay getting a back bone both in the ring and behind the mic. To close the show, your hosts did talk about The Creeds returning to NXT after a three year stint on the main roster. Stunt Granny Audio 1191 – Smackdown’s Main Event, Cody Rhodes vs Randy Orton and The Return of The Vision

With plenty of wrestling to cover, Chris & Kevin started at WWE Smackdown and worked their way forward. A theme for the podcast was the lack of crowd enthusiasm. Since this episode was pre-taped in Cleveland, the crowd was definitely a factor. Because the main event scene has a lot of names, Chris & Kevin talked about when the inevitable five man match will happen. In what was a rare crowd pop, Johnny Gargano got a good response against CM Punk in the main event. Moving on to Sunday Night’s Main Event, Chris & Kevin discussed Trick Williams recapturing the US Championship. During the Oba Femi vs Bron Breakker match, we got the return of Bronson Reed. Last but not least, your hosts dive into a live WWE Raw. With the Bloodline and Royce Keys dominating the show, Chris & Kevin talk about the story not having a pay off. Stunt Granny Audio 1190 – AEW All In and NXT Heatwave Fall Out

Even Jeremy didn’t want to talk about NXT Heatwave, so him & Kevin talk about AEW All In first. Because AEW Dynamite had aired, your hosts view the pay per view through it. Since Jeremy didn’t see the main event of Dynamite, Kevin tells him what he would not have liked. With Will Ospreay as champion, your hosts explain what they have not liked about his recent character changes. After the praise of All In, Jeremy & Kevin discuss what AEW needs to do to capitalize on it. Since Adam Copeland & Christian Cage as the tag team champions, your hosts discuss how old AEW’s tag team is. Before moving to NXT, Jeremy lays out his problems with Thekla. With NXT Heatwave, Kevin talks about how the brand may have turned the development corner. To close the show, Jeremy & Kevin talk about Kelani Jordan and Tony D’Angelo still being in NXT. Stunt Granny Audio 1189 – AEW All In Review, Gooner and Penta

Since Chris & Kevin paid human monies to watch AEW All In, they started their review with it. With the return of Britt Baker, they did need to talk about the Pre-Show. Even though the Trios Roulette Royale started on the pre-show, AEW saved the debut of The New Level for PPV. As predicted, the Brawling Birds kicked off a mostly positive night for the English. When the English were disappointed, great matches like Jon Moxley vs Nigel McGuinness happened. Since AEW restrained themselves, the Falls Count Anywhere match between Darby Allin & Kevin Knight stood out. After a wrong prediction, Chris & Kevin talk about Mercedes Mone finally capturing the AEW Women’s Championship. Wrapping up AEW All In, your hosts talked about Will Ospreay capturing the AEW Men’s Championship from Kenny Omega. To close out the show, Chris & Kevin do a speed run through WWE Smackdown and Raw. Stunt Granny Audio 1186 – NXT Heatwave, AEW All In and the Build To Both Events

With Chris & Kevin back behind the microphones, they talk about not being excited about either NXT Heatwave or AEW All In. Since Grayson Waller continues to point out the problems, your hosts talk about it being counterproductive for the brand. While Tony D’Angelo faces all of the newcomers, Chris & Kevin talk about his character being stuck in neutral. Because EK Prosper & Keanu Carver are on TV now, Chris & Kevin talk about them being repeats of Je’Von Evans and Oba Femi. With AEW insisting on longer Dynamites, your hosts talk about how unnecessary they are. After the recorded interview and close to the show, Chris & Kevin talk about Kenny Omega being a heel. Because Willow Nightingale and Mercedes Mone had a pull apart brawl, your hosts talk about it being a draw for AEW All In. To close the show, Chris & Kevin talk about New Day challenging for the Trios Championship. Stunt Granny Audio 1184 – Will Ospreay, Paul Wight, Kris Statlander and Zilla Fatu

Since Kevin didn’t watch last week’s AEW Dynamite, Jeremy helps fill him in while they talk about this week’s edition. Because Will Ospreay started the show, Kevin finds out that he’s now in a feud with the Don Callis Family too. With AEW All In only weeks away, your hosts try to figure out why Ospreay isn’t focused on Kenny Omega. Paul Wight was on commentary, so Jeremy & Kevin discussed why he looked so ordinary next to Excalibur and Tony Schiavone. Speaking of former WWE employees, your hosts try to figure out why Mick Foley is being used how he is. To wrap up AEW Dynamite, Jeremy & Kevin talk about the ever changing Kris Statlander character. When your hosts get to NXT, they talk about the quality of the women’s division. In what was groan inducing, Jeremy & Kevin talk about Zilla Fatu starting at the top in his debut. With Kevin back from vacation, him & Chris look at the WWE through the returns of multiple Superstars. On Smackdown, your hosts start with the return of Kevin Owens. Because he had a showdown with CM Punk, Chris & Kevin talk about their promo exchange. Since Randy Orton cost Cody Rhodes his match, your hosts discuss Rhodes being taken out of the title picture. Much to Chris & Kevin’s dismay, Baron Corbin won his second straight match Trick Williams. Since Trick is part of the recent NXT call ups, your hosts talk about how they have taken a step back. Wrapping up the return talk, Chris & Kevin talk about the confusion of Becky Lynch and Stephanie Vaquer making their come backs at the same time. To close the show, your hosts talk about Liv Morgan being in the back seat defending her championship. Stunt Granny Audio 1176 –SNME, Gunther, Smackdown, WWE Women, MLW and more

Early show this week and the boys, Chris and Jeremy, discuss a lot of WWE but they break off course and start with MLW. Why are shows recorded in April just making air? MLW is being slept on however. They have a good roster but the same Contra silliness. Who are the bigger nerds Soccer or NBA players? WWE has an old talent problem and it has become completely evident leading to Summerslam. Why the hesitancy moving new talent in to old spots? What role does TKO have in this? Why are women’s matches being taken away from the audience? Yeah, we are being robbed of logical and storyline issued women’s matches. it will all make sense when you listen. So get to listening…please. The post Stunt Granny Audio 1176 –SNME, Gunther, Smackdown, WWE Women, MLW and more appeared first on Stunt Granny.

To continue last week’s argument, your host point out that keeping Oba Femi from the main event scene is keeping it stale. Since the Bloodline was on Raw, Chris & Kevin wonder where they were for Roman Reigns beat down. While talking about the Bloodline, your hosts talk about LA Knight and Jey Uso having to do the heavy lifting. Because Baron Corbin returned, your hosts talk about him being a cheaper replacement.
