Haley Mellin

In this episode of Art in Bloom, we are joined by Haley Mellin, a North American visual artist, land conservationist, and founder of Art into Acres. Mellin’s artistic practice is profoundly rooted in the natural world. Working outdoors in a seasonal studio, she creates observational paintings in gouache, a water-based medium, and drawings in charcoal, a plant-based carbon material. In 2017, she founded Art into Acres, an artist-run nonprofit dedicated to supporting permanent, large-scale land conservation on behalf of the arts community.
