How Did The Neanderthals Go Extinct? | After Skool

How Did The Neanderthals Go Extinct? Neanderthals are our closest extinct human relatives. They lived in Eurasia 200,000 to 30,000 years ago. There was roughly a 5000 year period where both Neanderthals and Humanslived in the same place at the same time. During this period there was inbreeding between the 2 species. The proof is in our DNA. 1.5 to 2.6 percent of the DNA of anyone outside Africa is of Neanderthal origin. Interestingly enough, this DNA can have an affect on your personality! Please support After Skool on Patreon! Psychology of Evil - The Devil Archetype - Written by Eternalised | After Skool

Psychology of Evil - The Devil Archetype - Written by Eternalised For many, the Devil is viewed merely as a fictional figure, a character in religious stories with no real impact on our daily lives. When discussed, the Devil is often dismissed as a construct designed to instill fear in our hearts. However, when examining the psychological aspects of this concept, there appears to be greater receptivity and more insight. It is crucial, therefore, to clarify that we are not advocating religious beliefs but rather exploring the psychological traits associated with the archetype of chaos or evil-a force that stands in opposition to order or good. This script was written and recorded by Eternalised. The Lost Ancient Humans of Antarctica | After Skool

The Lost Ancient Humans of Antarctica Stream 2 full seasons of Ancient Civilizations for free at http://bit.ly/Ancient_Civilizations only on Gaia. The earth has gone through countless changes in its history. Antarctica at one time was not covered with ice, and could have been home to ancient humans. As we develop new methods for uncovering the ice, we are beginning to see the possibilities that lay below. Mainstream ideology puts forward the "Out of Africa" theory, which tracks humans originating in Africa and spreading out by land across the world. However, genetic research is finding evidence that makes our story far more complex. One of these findings is the discovery of the Denisovan people of Siberia, which reveals an entirely new, intelligent human subspecies (first discovered in 2008). It is findings like this, that cause us to have to rewrite human history. Please consider supporting After Skool on Patreon https://www.patreon.com/AfterSkool Check out the new After Skool T-shirt design! https://teespring.com/stores/afterskool If you'd like us to make a custom animation for your company, send us an email at afterskool100@gmail.comMusic: Mars by Stellardrone Follow the podcast for new episodes. TIME IS SPEEDING UP - Terence McKenna | After Skool

TIME IS SPEEDING UP - Terence McKenna Terence Kemp McKenna (November 16, 1946 - April 3, 2000) was an American ethnobotanist, mystic, psychonaut, lecturer, author, and an advocate for the responsible use of naturally occurring psychedelic plants. He spoke and wrote about a variety of subjects, including psychedelic drugs, plant-based entheogens, shamanism, metaphysics, alchemy, language, philosophy, culture, technology, environmentalism, and the theoretical origins of human consciousness.McKenna formulated a concept about the nature of time based on fractal patterns he claimed to have discovered in the I Ching, which he called novelty theory, proposing this predicted a transition of consciousness in the year 2012. His promotion of novelty theory and its connection to the Maya calendar is credited as one of the factors leading to the widespread beliefs about 2012 eschatology.A BIG special thank you to Lubomir Arsov for the incredible animation at the end. Fyodor Dostoevsky - Timeless Philosophy of a Tormented Genius - Written by Eternalised | After Skool

Fyodor Dostoevsky - Timeless Philosophy of a Tormented Genius - Written by Eternalised Fyodor Dostoevsky (11 November 1821 - 9 February 1881), sometimes transliterated as Dostoyevsky, was a Russian novelist, short story writer, essayist and journalist. Numerous literary critics regard him as one of the greatest novelists in all of world literature, as many of his works are considered highly influential masterpieces.Dostoevsky's literary works explore the human condition in the troubled political, social, and spiritual atmospheres of 19th-century Russia, and engage with a variety of philosophical and religious themes. His most acclaimed novels include Crime and Punishment (1866), The Idiot (1869), Demons (1872), and The Brothers Karamazov (1880). His 1864 novella Notes from Underground is considered to be one of the first works of existentialist literature.Born in Moscow in 1821, Dostoevsky was introduced to literature at an early age through fairy tales and legends, and through books by Russian and foreign authors. His mother died in 1837 when he was 15, and around the same time, he left school to enter the Nikolayev Military Engineering Institute. After graduating, he worked as an engineer and briefly enjoyed a lavish lifestyle, translating books to earn extra money. In the mid-1840s he wrote his first novel, Poor Folk, which gained him entry into Saint Petersburg's literary circles. However, he was arrested in 1849 for belonging to a literary group, the Petrashevsky Circle, that discussed banned books critical of Tsarist Russia. Dostoevsky was sentenced to death but the sentence was commuted at the last moment. He spent four years in a Siberian prison camp, followed by six years of compulsory military service in exile. In the following years, Dostoevsky worked as a journalist, publishing and editing several magazines of his own and later A Writer's Diary, a collection of his writings. He began to travel around western Europe and developed a gambling addiction, which led to financial hardship. For a time, he had to beg for money, but he eventually became one of the most widely read and highly regarded Russian writers.Dostoevsky's body of work consists of thirteen novels, three novellas, seventeen short stories, and numerous other works. His writings were widely read both within and beyond his native Russia and influenced an equally great number of later writers including Russians such as Aleksandr Solzhenitsyn and Anton Chekhov, philosophers Friedrich Nietzsche and Jean-Paul Sartre, and the emergence of Existentialism and Freudianism. His books have been translated into more than 170 languages, and served as the inspiration for many films. This script was written and recorded by Eternalised. MASS PSYCHOSIS - How an Entire Population Becomes MENTALLY ILL | After Skool

MASS PSYCHOSIS - How an Entire Population Becomes MENTALLY ILL This video was made in collaboration with Academy of Ideas. They create videos explaining the ideas of history's great thinkers in order to help supply the world with more knowledge, to empower the individual, and to promote freedom. Please check out their youtube channel for more brilliant content. Https://www.youtube.com/c/academyofideas or visit their website to learn more https://academyofideas.com/In this video we are going to explore the most dangerous of all psychic epidemics, the mass psychosis. A mass psychosis is an epidemic of madness and it occurs when a large portion of a society loses touch with reality and descends into delusions. Such a phenomenon is not a thing of fiction. Two examples of mass psychoses are the American and European witch hunts 16th and 17th centuries and the rise of totalitarianism in the 20th century. This video will aim to answer questions surrounding mass psychosis: What is it? How does is start? Has it happened before? Are we experiencing one right now? And if so, how can the stages of a mass psychosis be reversed? This video took a tremendous amount of work.
