#206 - Donny Claims He's Repping Australia at Donk Toss, Then Gets Busted Live on Air

Donny announces he's off to America to represent Australia in an inflatable-donkey sport called Donk Toss, and the whole story falls apart before breakfast is over. Plus: the Big Sultana gets a brutal review. In this episode: Donny reveals he's been picked to represent Australia at the first ever international Donk Toss match in the USA, then has to explain to Adam what a Donk actually is. Donny hijacks the 7am news and demands newsreader Beth make his Donk Toss selection a local headline. Two of Donny's mates drop a podcast that blows his story wide open: he's not on the team, he's just going over to film it. Can you eat out for every meal on $30 a day? The boys do the maths for single shoppers, and a mum of seven shares her best cheap-eats deals (and a cheeky pram trick). Australia's biggest fan of big things calls in to review Mildura's new Big Sultana (verdict: it looks like a poo) and gives his blessing to a big laptop for Townsville. Daily Dribble, the weird news you didn't know you cared about: an off-duty sushi worker in Alabama gets fired after taking three scoops of Halloween lollies off a porch. Big Boss Stu holds an on-air meeting about a forgotten prize giveaway, Donny's abandoned red truck in the car park and a racehorse called Sticky Marshmallow. #205 - Townsville Faces a New Emu War & Cop Lets a Speeding Zombie Off

Adam and Donny want the Foo Fighters to swap the shoey for a dim sim when they play Townsville. Plus: Donny's blue job, pink job dilemma, Adam's eat-out-for-a-week challenge, a stolen HelloFresh box and a Florida zombie caught speeding. In this episode: Donny's back from his birthday weekend on Magnetic Island, still recovering, and a screaming kid at the shops has him blaming social media bosses for ruining a whole generation while newsreader Beth swears her kids won't have phones. Donny's girlfriend Lou keeps handing him "blue jobs" like peeling 700 grams of prawns, and Beth explains all the pink jobs he never sees. Adam reckons cooking for one costs more than ordering in, and the boys wonder if he could eat out for a whole week on about $150. A mum feeding a family of four plus a new baby shares their grocery bill and talks Adam into actually trying the eat-out experiment. Donny plans a bold Melbourne Cup outfit and accidentally says something very rude about taking his jacket off in the Townsville heat. The Blame Game: a woman threw out a neighbour's rotting HelloFresh box three weeks in a row, ate the fourth, and now he wants $120. More people weigh in on the HelloFresh thief, and Beth gets outvoted while she's out of the room. A cranky emu called Eric (who's actually a girl) is harassing a pensioner in Bluewater, and the boys remember Australia lost the Great Emu War. Daily Dribble, the weird news you didn't know you cared about: a Florida deputy lets a speeding zombie off because you can't ticket someone who isn't alive. Three things the boys want the Townsville council to discuss: a rate break for single shoppers, an official stance on Eric the emu, and a free dim sim for every Foo Fighters fan. #204 - Donny's Bizarre Fear of the Birthday Song & the 'Never-Ending' Cruise Finally Ends

Donny has a weird lifelong fear of the Happy Birthday song, and Adam finally saw it happen at his birthday dinner. Plus: an Aussie food invention nobody knew about, a Townsville ghost hunter, and the never-ending cruise that just ran out of fuel. In this episode: With Donny off for his birthday, Adam and newsreader Beth spill on his strange fear of the Happy Birthday song, which Adam saw for himself when Donny's girlfriend Lou started singing it over his surprise cake. For Halloween, a local paranormal investigator talks about growing up in a house with four ghosts and names the most haunted pubs around Townsville. After finding out the shoey isn't Australian, Adam discovers the dim sim is (invented in Melbourne in 1945) and imagines big overseas rock stars eating one on stage. Daily Dribble, the weird news you didn't know you cared about: the "never-ending" cruise ship stops for good after 25 months, stuck in Cambodia, and a passenger who spent her kids' inheritance on it is not happy. Best Of: Donny Gets Caught Stark Naked in a Pub Toilet Dressed as Homer Simpson

The best of Adam & Donny: Donny, dressed as Homer Simpson, strips completely naked in a pub toilet, and a stranger looks over the cubicle door. Plus Donny and newsreader Beth's secret dating history, and a 63km charity run. In this episode: Dressed as Homer Simpson in a onesie for his girlfriend Lou's birthday pub crawl, Donny has to strip off to use a pub toilet, and a stranger looks over the cubicle door. Donny accidentally lets slip a history with newsreader Beth. They went on two dates years ago (or one, depending on who you ask), and Beth explains how she let him down. Donny's girlfriend Lou joins in, upset that the boys are telling everyone about the dates with Beth. Adam makes Donny pick a side: the show or Lou. Then comes the twist. A wedding the boys gave away to a couple renewing their vows: 50 types of bread, emotional speeches, and the Mayor of Townsville turning up yet again. A woman gets in touch to enter a competition the boys aren't running, then slowly realises she was listening to someone else's show. How the Townsville Sign Marathon and a Half started: a dare to the Mayor, 1,376 laps, 63km and a suspicious moon boot, all for Ronald McDonald House Charities. The final lap: exhausted, cramping and covered in Vaseline, Adam and Donny bring home 63km around the Townsville sign. Originally broadcast on Star 106.3 Townsville. Owned and operated by ARN. Best Of: Adam & Donny Get Smoked by a 91-Year-Old in a Mobility Scooter Race

The best of Adam & Donny: a 91-year-old challenges Adam and Donny to a mobility scooter race and absolutely smokes them, winning by a lap and a half. Plus a couple finally makes it official, and whose AI tongue is on Adam's face? In this episode: Their 91-year-old adopted granddad challenges the boys to a mobility scooter race around his nursing home car park, with a fan base in matching t-shirts. He wins by a lap and a half. Are We Dating? (where the boys help someone work out if it's official): a woman wants the guy she's seeing to ask her to be his girlfriend, but he thinks they're past labels. Can the boys get him there? Zero Effort Meals: people ring in with the laziest dinners they make when they can't be bothered, including two-minute noodles cooked for one minute. Ahead of a Dagwood dog eating race at the Townsville Show against a rival breakfast host and the Mayor, the boys ring the local paper's tip line with their 'breaking news'. Donny's podcaster mate reckons he's seen the boys' TV ad, and someone has used AI to put a tongue on Adam's cheek. Whose tongue is it? At a charity auction, Adam wins an ad with the boys' biggest competitors, and a pair of jingle-writing mates come up with the ad. Their bosses are not thrilled. #203 - Adam & Donny Rang the PM's Office to Confess Australia Didn't Invent the Shoey

Adam and Donny dig up the real history of the shoey (think 4,000-year-old shoe cups and 1902 Chicago) and ring the Prime Minister's office to break the news. Plus: it took 66 guesses to name today's mystery dog breed. In this episode: Adam makes Beth finally pay him back for taking her spot in a 30-hour military challenge, and she settles on an "I owe Adam" bumper sticker. The shoey turns out not to be Australian at all, so the boys call Parliament House to pass the bad news on to the Prime Minister. A mum in Baltimore finds a man living in the sewer out the front of her house, singing to her kids, and police say they can't move him on. People rang in to guess a mystery dog breed from its bark, and it took 66 calls and a big clue before anyone got it. Originally broadcast on Star 106.3 Townsville. Owned and operated by ARN. #202 - He Swallowed $1 Million in Stolen Earrings, Then Asked If That Counts

A guy called Jathan walked into Tiffany & Co, grabbed over a million dollars' worth of earrings and swallowed them when the cops caught him. Then he asked if he could be charged for what's in his stomach. Plus: Adam took Beth's spot in a 30-hour military challenge, and now he wants payback in the form of 1% of any house she ever buys. We also try to work out what giant Big Thing Townsville deserves (Adam reckons it's a Big Laptop), and find out the shoey might not even be Australian. Originally broadcast on Star 106.3 Townsville. #201 - We Called the White House to Report the Boston Celtics & Got Hung Up On

The Boston Celtics are selling beer out of a plastic shoe, so we take the theft of the Aussie shoey all the way to the top and ring the White House. Plus a three-year-old is apparently so good at soccer that the police got called, and Donny gets busted for leaving his birthday balloons all over the studio. In this episode: 1. Boston's basketball team is selling beer in a plastic "sneaker cup" like they invented the shoey. Stadium security and two Boston radio stations don't want to know, so we call the White House switchboard. It doesn't go well. 2. Plenty of teasing for newsreader Beth, and a reality check on skipping the gym with Christmas four and a half weeks away. 3. A three-year-old in Florida is so good at soccer, playing against five-year-olds, that someone called the police. Then we hear the other side of the story. 4. Donny's 30th birthday balloons are still all over the studio and Jade calls him out. Should the birthday boy clean up, or whoever put the decorations up? People rang in to have their say. 5. With Halloween on Saturday, we hunt for Townsville's most haunted spot. A woman from the Mad Cow says a cleaner hears footsteps there in the early hours, and both she and the owner have seen the same woman in the back room. Originally broadcast on Star 106.3 Townsville. #200 - We Called Boston Celtics Security About a Stolen Shoey & Donny Snubs a Cowboys Star

We ring Boston Celtics security to report the theft of the Aussie shoey. Plus Donny finds out a Cowboys star has followed him for ages (he never followed back), and a murderer takes on the prison system over Vegemite. In this episode: 1. The Boston Celtics are selling a "sneaker cup" to drink beer out of, so we ring security at their stadium to report the theft of the Aussie shoey. Security has no idea what a shoey is and tells us to email customer service, so we explain that email doesn't work in Australia. 2. Newsreader Beth reckons everyone is only here for her, we find out the Boston Celtics are selling beer out of plastic shoes (so we decide to give them a call), and we catch up on the new season of Big Brother. 3. Scrolling his Instagram followers on a day bed in Thailand, Donny realises a Cowboys star with 15 tries this year follows him, but he never followed back. How does he fix it without the bloke noticing? 4. A convicted murderer argues that banning Vegemite in prison breaches his human rights. We have a theory on why he really wants it. 5. Two new speed cameras in Tacoma, Washington caught 400,000 speeders in a month, so the city is only fining 100 drivers a day, picked at random. 6. Three Things we hope Townsville City Council talks about: Operation Wine and Dine for the visiting Kangaroos, blocking out the 5pm sun, and a big thing for Townsville. 7. The Blame Game: Adam's mate keeps getting cut off in his apartment car park, so he got revenge by honking at the bloke in the drive-through. Who's more unreasonable? #199 - Adam Secretly Takes His Girlfriend's Dog for a Bush Walk & a Bunnings Romance Flops

Adam confesses he secretly took his girlfriend's dog on a 40-minute drive to his favourite old bush walk, and she is fuming. Plus Donny turns 30 and gets the worst birthday present money can buy. In this episode: 1. A brand-new week kicks off with birthday cake for Donny, and our newsreader Beth is back from a New Zealand babymoon where her luggage went missing for the entire trip. 2. Adam pays about 80 bucks for a Noah Kahan lookalike to sing Donny a happy 30th, and Donny is far from impressed. 3. A woman who met a bloke in a Bunnings car park four months ago wants to know if they're officially dating, so we ask him straight out, and it goes horribly wrong. 4. Adam comes clean to his long-distance girlfriend that he took her dog, in her car, to his favourite old bush 40 minutes away, and now there's a scratch on the car. 5. A fellow dog lover weighs in on Adam's "small lie", and the team demands to see Adam's bush on Google Earth. Originally broadcast on Star 106.3 Townsville. Owned and operated by ARN. Hosted on Acast. Best Of: A Safe Locked for 15 Years Is Finally Cracked & Donny Nearly Sets a Track Record

The best of Adam & Donny: a safe locked in a basement for 15 years is finally cracked open. Inside? A cut-up $50, a ruler, and a note saying 'keep going'. Plus Donny nearly sets a supercar track record, and a late husband's secret. In this episode: Donny, Adam and newsreader Beth race supercars after a week of learning manual. Donny wins, nearly breaks a track record and becomes unbearable; Adam somehow finishes fourth in a three-person race. The Daily Dribble (their weird-news round-up): a would-be robber uses Google Translate to hold up an Ecuadorian restaurant, and Donny finds out Ecuadorians speak Spanish. Blame Game (where the boys decide who's being unreasonable): a woman's friend keeps dumping blokes because her late husband was 'perfect'. He wasn't, he cheated. Should she be told? A tour of a building that used to be a three-level 80s nightclub: 27 toilets, a jazz bar, a pool hall and a very suspicious podium. Back at the old nightclub, a safe that's been locked in the basement for 15 years is finally cracked open. Inside: a $50 note cut in half, a 30cm ruler, a safe within the safe, and a note saying 'You are getting close, keep going'. More weird news: a UK nature festival gets flooded with ticket requests from naturists who read 'nature' as 'nude'. Adam, captain of the boys' indoor cricket team, fronts a full sporting-style press conference to apologise to the team's three 'sponsors' after a shocker of a loss. Adam brings in Donny's girlfriend Lou to inspect Donny's filthy work desk: forks, mystery substances and two bottles of purple shampoo. Originally broadcast on Star 106.3 Townsville. Best Of: Adam Confesses to Stealing an Ex's Disney+ & the New Boyfriend Answers the Phone

The best of Adam & Donny: Adam has been mooching off an ex's Disney+ for four years, so the boys ring the ex to confess, and the new boyfriend answers. Not happy. Plus 'Tim Cook' quits Apple, and Donny's board game night rules. In this episode: 1. Adam admits he's still using his ex's Disney+ account (and so is his current girlfriend), so the boys ring her to ask permission, and her new boyfriend picks up instead. 2. 'Apple CEO Tim Cook' (allegedly) joins the boys to explain why he's stepping down: there's nothing left to take away, not even the headphone jack, and his iCloud is full. 3. Donny wants his girlfriend Lou to text their board game night guests a list of rules: no Cheetos, no 'let's just work it out as we go', and no going easy. Adam is appalled, and so is a bloke who's heard the rules. 4. Newsreader Beth just got back from Japan, where she emptied an entire onsen (a traditional hot spring bath) the moment her tattoos came out. Plus a steamy hot tub story from New Zealand. 5. Friendship Court (where the boys put a mate on trial): newsreader Beth went to Japan for two weeks and paid for a kennel rather than ask Donny to mind her dogs. Donny brings evidence. 6. Inspired by Jim's Mowing, Adam launches Adam's Mowing after mowing exactly one lawn for $50, complete with an ad and very long terms and conditions. His first new customer has a four-acre yard. 7. Adam asks the Mayor of Townsville to join his indoor cricket team, a day after the boys suggested the Mayor host a town-wide Easter egg hunt at his house. The Mayor is not keen on either. 8. The boys decide the show needs an old-school 1960s-style jingle and each make one. 'Baldy and Muscles in the Morning' does not go down well. Originally broadcast on Star 106.3 Townsville. #194-198 - Donny Takes the Upgrade, Adam Completes the 30 Hour Challenge & Jake's Back Using AI on Tinder

One upgrade on the flight home from Bangkok, two people, and Donny grabbed it with both bloody hands. The whole town's had an opinion all week, and to finish, Donny's girlfriend finally comes on air to give her side. Plus Jake's caught using ChatGPT on Tinder again, Adam calls three cafes with the world's worst excuse for standing someone up, and Adam's ex had a freezer full of something other than ice cream. Three Things for the council: Townsville tuk tuks, the Cook Islands' unfortunate "COK" cap, and a bouncer for the baggage carousel. Adam looks back on the 30-hour Breaking Point Challenge for the Cure, and gives a shout-out to Aaron from the yellow team. Jake's back on the apps and back on ChatGPT. We read his messages, and his "you may have seen me" opener. Blame Game: Donny takes the only upgrade at Bangkok airport and leaves his girlfriend in economy. The callers decide if that was unreasonable. Stood up for jiu-jitsu: the viral voice-note excuse, and Adam tries it on the actual cafe. Donny's turning 30 and has never jump-started a car. Neither has Adam. Sparks fly. Cafe call number two: same excuse, a much busier cafe, and a lot less sympathy. Donny on Dave, the bloke who turned up to his trivia night alone and became part of the team. A reminder to put yourself out there. The plan to save Jake: a live on-air date with the boys coaching in his ear. Kirsty, a 30-year-old teacher, puts her hand up. The tiebreaker: cafe number three hears the jiu-jitsu excuse. Dating expert Sera Bossa tells Jake to ditch the AI and back his own banter. The Daily Dribble: a taxidermy bust reminds Adam of the ex with a freezer full of dead animals. The first-class saga so far: the whole town has an opinion, and one caller reckons the airline's to blame. The showdown: Donny's girlfriend calls in to give her side of it, and Donny ends up on one knee. Originally broadcast on Star 106.3 Townsville. Owned and operated by ARN. Hosted on Acast.
