    Sinister Sightings - EP391

This week’s Sinister Sightings has messages from the other side, a childhood crime that involves a very determined neighbor and a getaway bike, and a tiny sign from a lost loved one that showed up exactly when it was needed. We’ve got a medium delivering a message she shouldn’t have known, dreams that may be more than dreams, a five-year-old getting fingerprinted by police, and one little dime that means absolutely everything. EP 447 - Cokeville School Miracle and Miyuki Ishikawa

Donna takes us to Cokeville, Wyoming, in 1986, where a man walked into an elementary school with a homemade bomb and took nearly 150 kids and teachers hostage. When that bomb went off, the outcome made no sense on paper. Kerri brings us to postwar Tokyo and the story of Miyuki Ishikawa, a respected midwife trusted with the most vulnerable babies in the city. What was actually happening inside her maternity home is one of the darkest cases Kerri has ever covered. If you have any local true crime, local urban legend/lore, ghost stories.. we want them all!! We want to hear from YOU. Especially if you have any funny Ambien stories! Sinister Sightings - EP390

This week’s Sinister Sightings is packed with creepy listener stories, paranormal experiences, and one story that goes completely off the rails. We’re heading to the allegedly haunted Road to Nowhere in Bryson City, North Carolina, where an abandoned tunnel and a broken government promise have helped create one of the eeriest spots in the Great Smoky Mountains. Then, one listener shares emotional visits from deceased family members through incredibly vivid dreams, while another takes us back to a childhood camping trip that turned into a nightmare. And then… there’s Frank. A creepy stranger, a mysterious locked shed, a little pink teddy bear, and a summer job making homemade concrete blocks that gets more horrifying with every single detail. Ghost stories, haunted places, creepy encounters, and horrifying listener tales, just another week of Sinister Sightings. Creep it real, and don’t get too scared. 👻 Got a creepy, paranormal, funny, or downright WTF story? Send it our way for a future Sinister Sightings! EP 446 - Lizzie Borden

We're switching things up this week! Instead of our usual one true crime and one paranormal story, we're going all in on one of the most infamous cases in American history: Lizzie Borden. Kerri takes us back to Fall River, Massachusetts, on a sweltering August morning in 1892, when Andrew and Abby Borden were found dead inside their own home. She walks us through the family tension, the strange behavior, the evidence (and the lack of it), and the trial that had the whole country picking sides. Donna picks up where the history leaves off. The Borden house is now a bed and breakfast where you can actually spend the night, and guests and staff have reported footsteps, voices, and some things that are a lot harder to explain. If you have any local true crime, local urban legend/lore, ghost stories.. we want them all!! We want to hear from YOU. Especially if you have any funny Ambien stories! Sinister Sightings - EP389

Ouija boards, mimics, stalkers, and a ghost who may have actually been trying to help. This week’s Sinister Sightings brings us a spirit stuck in 1864, something calling from upstairs in Mom’s voice, a terrifying reminder that sometimes the living are scarier than the dead, and a haunted Virginia townhouse. Basically, trust your gut, don’t follow the voice, and maybe leave the Ouija board ALONE. Got a creepy, paranormal, funny, or downright WTF story? Send it our way for a future Sinister Sightings! EP 445 - General Wayne Inn and Sherri Papini

Donna takes us to Merion, Pennsylvania, where the General Wayne Inn served travelers for nearly 300 years and, if you believe the stories, some of them never checked out. She digs into the Revolutionary War–era ghosts, the staff who swore something was sharing the building with them, and why this old tavern has been called one of the most haunted in America. Kerri covers Sherri Papini, a young mom from Redding, California, disappeared while out on a run and was found 22 days later on Thanksgiving Day with an account of being abducted that launched a massive search for her captors. Kerri walks through what investigators uncovered in the years that followed, and the real people who were affected along the way. Sinister Sightings - EP388

This week’s Sinister Sightings has a little bit of everything: a mimic with a McDonald’s alibi, loved ones finding their way back to say goodbye, a creepy-ass Peekaboo puppy, and a dad who apparently made terrorizing his children a full-time hobby. Plus, we learn that sometimes the scariest monsters aren’t paranormal at all. Got a creepy, paranormal, funny, or downright WTF story? Send it our way for a future Sinister Sightings! EP 444 - Rori Hache and Kandis Fitzpatrick and Battersea Poltergeist

Kerri covers the murders of Rori Hache and Kandis Fitzpatrick, walking through how a routine plumbing call in an Oshawa basement apartment in 2017 blew open a case that reached back nearly a decade to a woman who'd never been found. She digs into how Adam Strong went from a stunned 911 call to two convictions, and why one family is still fighting for the answer they were promised. Donna tells us about the Battersea Poltergeist, the mysterious 1956 haunting that started when a silver key showed up on 15 year old Shirley Hitchings' pillow and didn't fit a single lock in the house. She gets into the rapping noises, the notes, and the spirit who called himself "Donald" to sort out what actually happened at 63 Wycliffe Road. EP 443 - Etta Smith and Megan Taylor Meier

Donna dives into the eerie case of Etta Smith, whose vivid psychic premonition led her straight to the body of missing Melanie Uribe. The discovery raises questions about intuition and the unexplained. Kerri covers the heartbreaking story of Megan Meier, a 13-year-old whose death by suicide followed a cruel MySpace hoax, sparking a national conversation about cyberbullying and online accountability. What happened during those few hours on a Tennessee highway has become a decades-long mystery, with unanswered questions and a family still waiting to learn what happened to Leanne. Sinister Sightings - EP384

We’ve got a listener who still thinks about the little boy from her childhood who desperately needed someone to notice what was happening at home, a creepy encounter with a stranger that ends in a full-on RUN FOR YOUR LIFE moment, and a solo backpacking trip where a therapist realizes the man camping nearby might be trying to tell her he’s a sociopath. Then we head to 1990s Las Vegas for a terrifying childhood encounter that may have been an attempted abduction. And because we need a little paranormal in our lives, two cats staring and growling at the corner of a bedroom can only mean one thing… demon. Right? EP 440 - Lauren McCluskey and Third Man Syndrome

Kerri dives into the tragic 2018 killing of University of Utah student-athlete Lauren McCluskey, who was murdered by a man she had briefly dated after he lied about his identity and criminal past. The episode examines the warning signs Lauren reported to campus police in the days before her death and the systemic failures that followed, which ultimately led to major reforms in campus safety policy. Donna explores the eerie phenomenon known as "the Third Man," where people in extreme situations—mountaineers, shipwreck survivors, and disaster victims—report sensing an unseen presence guiding or comforting them. From Shackleton's Antarctic expedition to 9/11 survivors, she unpacks the science and speculation behind this strange, recurring experience of feeling accompanied when utterly alone. EP 439 - The Devil's Tramping Ground and Walter Collins

Donna kicks things off with a trip to the Devil's Tramping Ground in Chatham County, North Carolina—a barren circle in the woods where legend says nothing will grow, animals refuse to enter, and anything left overnight mysteriously vanishes or moves by morning. She digs into the folklore behind the site, from Satan's midnight planning sessions to the eerie scientific explanations researchers have tried (and failed) to pin down. Then Kerri takes us into one of the most haunting true crime cases of the 1920s: the disappearance of nine-year-old Walter Collins from Los Angeles, and the "Changeling" scandal that followed when police tried to pass off an impostor child as him. She traces the chilling threads connecting Walter's case to the horrifying crimes of Gordon Stewart Northcott, the man behind the Wineville Chicken Coop Murders, and whether Walter may have been one of his victims.
