WYBC and CHESLA congratulate our November Student of the Month: Skylyn Davis! Skylyn Davis is an outstanding young lady who exemplifies academic excellence, leadership, community involvement, and compassion for others. She is actively involved in her community through the NAACP, where she serves as Assistant Secretary. Skylyn is actively part of the choir, soccer, and Girl Scouts of America through Highville Charter School in New Haven, Connecticut. Skylyn’s academic accomplishments are equally impressive. She consistently earns straight A’s on her report cards and maintains perfect attendance, demonstrating her dedication, discipline, and commitment to her education. Her exceptional performance on standardized testing has also earned her recognition, including an interview with the State of Connecticut. Beyond her academic success and extracurricular activities, what truly makes Skylyn special is her caring heart and genuine love for people. She demonstrates compassion in so many ways and has a beautiful spirit that shines through her willingness to participate, serve, and remain engaged in her community. Skylyn is a wonderful example of a young person who strives for excellence while making a positive difference in the lives of others. Her commitment to learning, leadership, service, and kindness makes her a young lady to celebrate and an inspiration to those around her.
