    Rom Coms always run up against being very by the books and basic but every once in awhile you get a rom com that adds a twist to the mix to spice it up. One Night Only bills itself as being essentially The Purge but for sex instead of killing. In a crazy way the movie does a good job with setting up this environment in which we see our two characters navigating through. The film works real well overall and is pretty entertaining for it..

On the surface the film comes off like a standard comedy fare regarding two couples engaging with each other over dinner. But over the course of the film, it slowly starts being about the state of both couples relationships especially the marriage between Rogan and Wilde's characters. The movie goes about it in a very real way thats funny, insightful, and engaging. Definitely a solid watch overall.
