Ep. 12 - There Is No Going Back

A voice follows the body onto the dance floor and keeps score. Too slow. Too angry. Too deep. Years of practice do not quiet it. It came along to a 5Rhythms class in Budapest, in a room full of strangers, and it is still there in Kraków three years later, on the other side of a camera. This solo travels from a few lines I wrote by the sea in 2020 to ten days of recording the rhythmic movements, an unfinished map of rhythms for validating our own distinct cycles. It is about the pace that belongs to you, and what it asks for when the world is moving to someone else's. It ends at a threshold, with a question still open. Welcome. Come as you are.
