I've spoken about wildlife photography a few times and thought it was worth looking at some of the common problems and misconceptions that people have. These include:

Animals will just be there waiting to be photographed.
A great camera will automatically give you great shots.
They don't do any research.
They use the wrong shutter speed and/or ISO for the shot they're going for.
Their pictures are out of focus.
They are not ready when something happens.
The subject is too small or too far away.
They don't think about composition; what's the context or story?
