Is there anything more intimate than fear? When terror paralyses your body, there is no space left between your soul and death. To plunge into the unknown is perhaps the experience that demands the most from us. It is an act of courage and surrender, unlike any other experience along the path of the spirit. If horror looks you in the eyes, it no longer matters who you are, what you have, or what you've done. It's just you facing the dark lake of the unconscious. But there is always a light. Look back at it. Step toward death and understand that it's all a farce—a lie you tell your soul. Spit in the face of the beast and get ready to face the next one. Today, you will be better than yesterday.
