show notes
Picture two houses on the same street. Same builder, same shutters, same little light by the front door. On a sunny afternoon in June, you couldn’t tell them apart. Then a storm comes, and in the morning one house is still standing and the other is in the yard.
In this episode, I walk through the closing story of the Sermon on the Mount and ask what’s underneath your life. Both builders heard the same words and got the same storm. The only difference was the doing, and it was buried where nobody could see it.
I talk about why the rock is a gift you dig down to and not something you earn, what sand really looks like (agreement without action), and why the best time to dig is while it’s still dry. I share what I’ve seen across the desk in my practice as a licensed accountant, and I speak directly to anyone whose house has already fallen. The rock is still there.
You’ll walk away with a few practical things to do this week, a few questions to answer for yourself, and a prayer for the one standing in the storm right now.
