A Conversation with the Aging Arborist This episode of the treeActions podcast is a little different. I recently had the pleasure of being a guest on The Aging Arborist podcast, where we had a wide-ranging conversation about trees, arboriculture, and some of the experiences and ideas that have shaped my work. The hosts of The Aging Arborist were kind enough to share the audio from our conversation with us, so we’re pleased to be able to bring the episode to the treeActions audience as well. It’s always interesting to step into the guest chair. Rather than leading the conversation, I had the opportunity to reflect on my own experiences, talk through some of the issues facing arborists and the wider tree-care profession, and explore where our industry may be heading. A big thank-you to the hosts of The Aging Arborist for inviting me onto the podcast, for the enjoyable conversation, and for generously allowing us to share it here. We hope you enjoy the conversation. In this episode: We discuss arboriculture, professional experience, the realities of working with trees, lessons learned over the years, and thoughts about the past, present, and future of the profession. 🎧 Originally recorded for The Aging Arborist podcast and shared here with their kind permission.
