Outside Tolerance follows a Lira's subjected to the Conclave’s procedures, where violence is presented as treatment and her reactions are used to justify further intervention. Within the story of The Relay, the single examines the loss of control over one’s own body and the distance between lived experience and the official account of it. What the institution records as progress carries a very different meaning for the person inside its machinery.
