Cristina Alger discusses what it's like to be a native New Yorker (including what types of girl "friends" to watch out for), parenting and writing through loss and hardship, and how she achieved such a compelling single dad point of view in one of her books. She also gives a sneak peek at her next several projects and lends some advice to aspiring novelists. And she makes me laugh.
