Britain Has Had Enough

Just 3 per cent view the men crossing the Channel in small boats positively. 67 per cent think asylum grants should be temporary, and recipients returned home when their country is declared safe. A Home Office whistleblower has warned that just 1 per cent of asylum claims are legitimate. Thousands of Kurds claim to be in a relationship with the daughter of the Prime Minister; hundreds of Pakistanis claim to be in a gay relationship with the same man; and Bangladeshis claim to be persecuted for membership of a political party they know nothing about. Of course, the government still gives them fresh clothes, coach transport, and hotel rooms at taxpayers' expense — despite producing leaflets asking them not to commit sex crimes, because they know these men are violent predators. That's why the masked members of Patriot Platform are protesting in Dover and Portsmouth: to delay the arrival of illegal migrants assisted by the RNLI and the state. Suddenly, the police want to ban face coverings at protests — though burqas and niqabs are exempt. That's why Reform made a mistake calling the demonstrators "thugs" and "disgusting", and joined calls to ban face coverings now. Despite concerns about state involvement in Patriot Platform, the enemy is the state that imports these foreign criminals and punishes those opposed to it, not the protestors who fear for their lives and livelihoods and feel the need to hide their identity.
