Unnatural Selection?

The peppered moth has long been used as an example of natural selection in biology education. Later studies raised questions about the strength of the evidence, including moth behavior and population trends that did not consistently match expectations. We question if the classic example may be oversimplified. Image: Biston betularia (Peppered Moth), Janet Graham, CC BY 2.0, Wikimedia Commons.
