The audio for this teaching was taken from the edited for time version of "Like a Tree" - https://youtu.be/AltF3How43Q
Psalm 1 paints a picture for us using a tree as imagery. It begins with a description of the blessed person, the one God Himself has planted, and then shows us what that life looks like: growth, fruitfulness, and true prosperity according to God’s own design. The Psalm ends with a sharp contrast between blessed person and the path of sinners. One life is rooted, living, and lasting. The other is rootless and temporary.
There are three realities that mark the rooted blessed life:
1 - The Planting of the Tree
2 - The Productivity of the Tree
3 - The Prosperity of the Tree
Key Scriptures used in today’s teaching: Psalm 1:1-6
