Seek Him

I greet you in Jesus' precious name. It is Tuesday morning, the 22nd of September, 2026, and this is your friend, Angus Buchan, with a thought for the day. We start in that beautiful scripture found in the book of Jeremiah 29:13. And you will seek Me and find Me, when you search for Me with all your heart. Then we go straight across to Philippians 3:10. He said, "...that I may know Him and the power of His resurrection, and the fellowship of His sufferings, being conformed to His death." I really believe this morning there are some people that want to grow closer to Jesus, but you're not spending time seeking Him. The Lord says to us today, "If you seek me, you'll find me." There was two old ladies, two sisters, Peggy and Christine. Peggy was 84 years old. She was blind. Christine was 82 years old. She was crippled with arthritis. They sought the Lord with all their hearts to bring revival to the island of Lewis, off the west coast of the north of Scotland. The revival came and the revival stayed for four years and thousands of people came to Christ, because they sought after the Lord with all of their hearts. If you really seek for God, you will find Him. He is actually waiting for you. They invited an evangelist by the name of Duncan Campbell to come up to the little island and hold an evangelistic outreach. He tells us in his memoirs that when that little boat arrived at the small harbour on the island of Lewis, these two old ladies were standing at the harbour waiting for him. When he got off that little fishing boat, they asked him a question. Mr. Campbell, do you know God? He said he was taken aback. He said, oh, ladies, I sincerely hope so. With that intensity, these ladies used to pray every night from 10 p.m. to 4 a.m. in their little cottage, and God answered their prayers.
