The entry point of any discipleship relationship is to first be with Jesus. Nobody can become a disciple without being commissioned to be with Him. Jesus called the twelve to primarily be with Him. The secondary reason was to be sent out. Discipleship is not about 'doing' God's work. No man is equipped to do anything for God if they haven't first sat down to be with Him. If you are currently 'doing' but haven't 'sat' then your works are not sponsored by God. No calling is more important than first being with Jesus. This is every disciple's primary goal in discipleship. When you come to sit and learn then Jesus has a decision to send you out. Being sent is not a guarantee.
