This week on The Tiny Pod I share an episode from Tiny Pod Patreon, About Shame.
Shame underscores and is entangled in so much of what we explore here on The Tiny Pod - dominance, enough, accountability, certainty.
Carl Jung writes, “Shame is a soul-eating emotion.” Unexamined shame is protected outward, children internalise their parents shame and the generational loop of shame continues. Intimacy requires the vulnerability and courage to be seen. Shame tells us to hide, making true relationship with others, and with ourself, impossible.
It is often those carrying the most shame who behave as if they have none, shamelessly.
I hope you enjoy the episode, and look forward to seeing you over at Patreon.
